Floating venues are no longer a novelty. They're a category.

Festivals, weddings, corporate events organisers are moving onto the water because it offers something a marquee in a field can't. As demand grows, the brands that can actually deliver on the water will be the ones organisers come back to.

That's the space MDE has worked in for 25 years.

Imagine our waterfronts working harder and not just at the edges.

Floating infrastructure opens up space we currently leave empty: event venues, public spaces, access points, all built on the water and removable when they're not needed. The technology's already here. The question is how far we take it.

That's a design outcome, not luck. Crowd loading, movement and stability are engineered in from the start, so the platform stays steady whether it's holding ten people or a few hundred. Safety led design is the baseline, every time.

The stability you don't notice is the part we spend the most time on.

A floating build can go in without the time, cost and disruption of fixed construction, and when the event's done, the site goes back to how it was. Temporary or permanent, it's a genuine alternative for waterfront projects.

Worth a look before you assume a fixed build is the only option.

The platform goes in on event day. The work starts months earlier.

Site consultation, system selection, engineering for the conditions, logistics and install, each stage has a lead time, and skipping the front end is how events get into trouble. The organisers who plan early get the site they want, on the date they want.
