My work here is done.

Time to chase the sun, I leave for the Sunshine Coast tomorrow. The best thing about growing up is learning to work out what you want and getting out of your own way so you can achieve your dreams.

I dreamt up a wild idea in January whilst I was in Coolum Beach earlier this year.

A few weeks ago I had it done. I want to thank Stephanie Slay for all of the very practical help she gave me, from a safe space to loaning me her laptop to much helpful advice.

ourtribefm is my baby. For the rest of it's hopefully long life it will be my very own personal promotional tool. Keep listening to kissfm (dance music Australia) for the usual wealth of amazing music but when you want your Black Tiger DJ fix, and I am somewhere random in the world...

For the moment it will be my mixes 24/7. I have plans in about 6 months when it is established to invite my favourite selectors to give me a rest once a month for 24 hrs by taking over for a day.

This week I will be showcasing my 333 mix that I recorded for my birthday/my mum's birth day which was played over 36 thousand times. Thank you to the team at Flow Music for that wildly validating and eye opening opportunity.

I want to dedicate ourtribefm to all of my supporters. You know I love you. Find your tribe, fam. With them you will be safe. F*ck the rest, they do not matter. Say it again. THEY DO NOT MATTER.

But ultimately my station is dedicated to my mum and dad. Anastasia (Mai Nyarai) who is one of the most amazing women I have ever met. She is where I get my 96th percentile IQ from - I am not Mensa clever but I daresay she is. And my dad. Tenacious and driven Cornelius, who I think about every day. Shine on, you crazy diamond. I couldn't love you more.

Get out there and get what you want. Today I want The Breakfast Club - Melbourne to give me a belated birthday present of free entry and those drink cards that are like gold dust haha. Wish me luck.

But generally, Facebook fam. Life is what you make it. Come and talk to me about mindset and the universe and finding your purpose. Luck has a little to do with it but I can promise you this, only you hold the key to your happiness and success.

Beauty is skin deep y'all. Looks will fade, get your self love and self acceptance where it should be and it won't matter to you whether you look 20 or 60. What do I care of societal constructs like age-ism.

What I do know is back then I was easier to f**k with.

What can I tell you today?

I'm so tired of thinking and talking about my self. That's what happens when you have a series of aha moments. Let's just say growth comes with a series of lightbulb moments. It can get a bit fkn trying but I'll keep taking lessons until I've learned it all.

I'm going to try tell you more about the places I've connected with on my travels. The drinks in this series of pictures are from .espresso but the mix is inspired by .

Odessa's.

You know when you are in a place and everything about it and everyone in it feels so good to you that you feel like you might have come home? Maybe past life vibes. Who knows. I do know the Odessa's was a brothel once upon a time haha. Go and have a drink there, or stay for a while. It's one of the best places I've been in a while. I was there a few months ago and I'll be stopping in when I'm back in vic for my set for at Bertie's Bandroom on 24th March.

It can be confronting. Leaning into who you are. We sometimes focus on the what. But I am more interested in the why. For example. When I tell you I have used all kinds of substances as crutches over the years. From my drinking days to my party days to my quarter tab days back during covid. Etc. By all means, focus on that sentence. But I am trying to nut out the 'why'. This kind of introspection can be uncomfortable but I will be honest with you... When you love yourself as much as I do, you are always going to be ok. No matter what.

And when you love music as much as I do. There's always something there to make you feel good. Something safe. And healing. And transformative.

What would I do without it.
