“On the weekend I experienced something very unusual for a celebrant…… I went to a wedding and didn’t marry anyone”. (And it was the most beautiful day)🥰
I was a guest, no microphone, no paperwork and no carefully choreographed celebrant side step where slip ,out of the way so the couple not the Celebrant are the stars of the photos.
Instead I got to sit back, relax and watch two gorgeous people get married.
The ceremony was unplugged which meant nobody had their phones on and there were no guest stepping into the aisle to capture “ just one quick photo”.
and honestly …..it was beautiful.
Everyone was present. people laughed., people cried and shared the very special moments , being fully present .
You might notice. I’m sharing a few photos of the day but none from the ceremony itself. That’s because when a ceremony is unplugged even celebrants who love a good photo follow the rules!
Besides the photographer was there being paid to work their magic and they are the experts in the room.
I can confirm it was very special.
Congratulations Alec and Cassie, what a magical day 🤍
