L & K - a marquee reception built around texture and light. ☁️

A fabric draped ceiling, long tables in natural linen, finished with low, sculptural arrangements. Timber crossback chairs to add to the warmth, and candles carrying the room into the evening.

A restrained palette, and a layout that worked for a long, lively dinner.

How to create a coastal palette without using blue

Save this if you love a classic, coastal palette!

Start with layers of white and neutral tones. Some subtle variation gives the palette depth while keeping it light and coastal.

Bring in reflective finishes. Chrome and silver mimic the way light reflects off water, giving a neutral palette that luminous feeling without introducing blue.

Add organic shapes. Scalloped edges, irregular plates, shells and pieces that feel naturally formed rather than perfectly geometric.

Layer plenty of texture. When your colour palette is restrained, texture becomes even more important.

Keep the contrast soft. Skip harsh accents and let the differences come from sheen, texture and form instead.

The Oceanic Edit | Part 2, The Vision

The Oceanic Edit is an exercise in restraint. A monochromatic tablescape in soft white, designed to sit quietly within its surroundings rather than compete with them. Unstructured linens, sculptural shells, shimmering pearl details and polished chrome introduce subtle movement and reflection, echoing the light and textures of the ocean beyond.

How to add depth to an all white palette

Save this if you love a classic all white palette, but elevated!

Start with tones of white. Not every white needs to match - layering shades of white avoids it being stark.

Bring in texture - linen, boucle, rattan, timber. Without colour, texture creates dimension.

Add subtle contrast. Depth doesn’t always need to be bold. Soft clay, tan or a warm neutral can ground the whites.

Use shape as a feature. Curved lounges, round ottomans and wavy umbrellas use form to add interest.

Finish with an intentional accent. A small colour accent can make the white palette feel more dimensional without taking over.
