Thank you so much to everyone who helped to support Molly, we are so grateful and, she has now BEEN ADOPTED to the perfect home :)
Molly REDUCED FEE desperately seeking a home π‘ππ
*Donations also needed - tax deductible!*
Lovely young Molly is absolutely desperate to get into a home - a foster, adoption or foster-with-view to adoption, she's not fussy at the moment and neither are we!
We just know that in this gloomy weather, a comfy couch would be so much better than a kennel.
(Not to knock our boarding kennels friends at all - we're SO grateful to them for caring for Molly! Kennels have saved her life - but they're not the same as a home and family).
Molly is an 18 month old staffy X, she comes in just under 25kg so she's a comfortable medium sized girl - just right to share the couch ποΈ with enough room for you to get on too! π
Molly is super friendly and enthusiastic, she loves to meet new people and make friends.
She has lived with kids and is definitely friendly, though she's a boisterous girl so is suited to dog-savvy kids who are familiar with the energy of a young staffy.
Molly could live with a similar sized male dog, pending a meet. π
For anyone who doesn't know Molly's background, this lovely girl came into care a few months back with her buddy Otis (who just found his home last week, yay! π)
Molly and Otis were facing imminent death as their owners were moving interstate and couldn't take the dogs along and local rangers had advised that they would put the dogs down.
We were so grateful to the emergency foster carers who stepped in to offer short term care and save the lives of this very deserving duo.
Poor Molly hasn't had an easy time.
She had her first litter of pups at only 10 months old - still a baby herself, she missed out on so much physical and mental growth as a result.
To make matters worse, when she came into care at 14 months old she was in heat again and it quickly became clear that she and Otis were going to be parents again; yes, she was pregnant for a second time.
She was very early in her pregnancy and with support of vets we made the decision to desex her and terminate the pregnancy. Her young body needed time to heal and grow, not support another batch of babies.
π
Molly is a super playful girl with lots of energy.
She's affectionate and friendly and loves her people, she's also a loyal girl with a good bark on her who is a good watch dog.
Molly did miss out on appropriate training, boundaries and structure in her puppyhood, plus she is really still a very young dog - as a result, she needs a calm and consistent family who will be willing to commit to her ongoing training and growth.
Molly is best suited to a home with someone who works from home, is part time, or otherwise isn't out of the house for super long stretches.
Having now been in kennels for many weeks, she's missing human company a great deal and she can chew things up when lonely/bored/frustrated.
She loves toys and enrichment activities that use her energy and her smarts π€
She's a fantastic companion for someone who wants a dog that will love to get close to you and really wants to be part of a family.
Molly may not be the easiest or most perfect dog in the world, but even though humans have let her down, she forgives us endlessly and just wants a second chance.
Molly is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
Her adoption fee is REDUCED to just $250 π to get her a home as quick as we can.
