THIS WEDNESDAY - our big Children's Fun Day - also known as 'Party with Puddles'! For the first time ever at the PCYC at South Windsor - so regular visitors please take note - it's NOT at North Richmond Community Centre this year!
There will lots of different services providing activities for young children, and our much-loved Reading Dragon Puddles will come to listen to a story and some songs!
Check the poster for details and come along! NO BOOKING needed, and everything is FREE!

We would like to invite families with young children 0 - 5 years to join us for an exciting morning full of stories, music and play!
There will be lots of stalls with activities that take our young visitors onto a musical adventure with books, songs, and with craft and fun activities!
The Hawkesbury's famous Reading Dragon Puddles will come along and listen to a story and some songs, and children (and grown-ups 😊) can take a photo with Puddles!
There will be free morning tea for children, and each child will get a free book to take home (as longs as stock lasts)!
The activities will be provided by local child and family services, community centres and health services, so it will be a great opportunity for families to meet some of the local services that are around!
Feel free to dress up for the stories & songs, just let your imagination run wild!
The whole event is FREE, and there is no need to book!
Please note: This year we have a NEW VENUE! Instead of at North Richmond Community Centre, the event will be held at the PCYC at South Windsor!

Just a reminder that today at 2pm a new national warning system is being tested across Australia. Your device will vibrate and play a siren like sound for around 10 seconds! If for safety reasons you don't want to sound the alert you need to switch it off or into airplane mode before 2pm!

That was our Biggest Morning Tea at North Richmond Community Centre, and our biggest one ever! Around 100 people attended this fabulous fun morning and helped raise funds for the Cancer Council! In addition to the delicious morning tea, we had a karaoke style singalong of ABBA songs and the greatest hits of the 70s, lots of dancing, a performance of some 70s songs in 4-part harmony by Riverland Harmony Chorus, a raffle, musical quizzes, and a big garage sale in the foyer, with no set prices, but with all donations made on the day going to the Cancer Council as well.
So all in all we raised $1140!!!😍
Thank you all for coming, donating, singing, dressing up and being part of it - we hope you had a great time!!!
Thank you to our team, and especially our volunteers, without whom such events would not be possible!
Thank you to Riverland Harmony Chorus for the great harmonies! 🎶
Thank you to our longstanding cafe visitor and photographer Jack Drake for the photos!
Last but not least we would like to say a big thank you to the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall congregation across the road, who allowed us to use their car park for the event! This was a crucial contribution to the success of the event, as with the current construction works in the car park the parking at the Community Centre would by far not have been enough and we would not have had so many people be able to attend!

Some important info in a nutshell:
* Everyone invited - no booking needed!
* PARKING: 1. Community Centre carpark - especially for people with mobility issues. 2. Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 29 Elizabeth Street (a short walk across the street past the Pre School)
3. Street parking
* NO PLAYGROUP that morning - childcare available - limited places!
* Our GARAGE SALE will be available in the Foyer - and we do have a massive number of clothes stacked away that we will bring out! All garage sale income from that day will go to the CANCER COUNCIL!
* Entry is FREE, but a donation of your choice to the Cancer Council will be encouraged!
* No obligation, but feel free to wear your most glamorous ABBA or disco inspired outfit or accessories! Or think early seventies and wear your hippie flares and rainbow gear! Best costume wins a prize!

Only 2 weeks to go! Put the date in your calendar! Our annual Biggest Morning Tea will be held on Wednesday the 24th of June here at North Richmond Community Centre from 10am - 12pm - during our Cafe Connections time!
We are expecting far more people than on a normal cafe morning, so there will be no playgroup that day as we need to hold the event in our big hall, but there will be some free childcare available (limited places) so parents can attend whilst their children play next door (in our back hall)! If there are too many children the children can of course attend with you, and we can swap halfway through the morning, so hopefully all families will get a turn!
There will be lots of singing, yummy morning tea, and the opportunity to wear your best or craziest ABBA or 70s inspired fancy outfit!😍

In case you have seen all the trucks and building work going on in our carpark and have wondered - YES, we are OPEN and it's business as usual!! 😀
The works are part of the Sydney Water wastewater pipeline upgrade that has been going on in North Richmond for a few months already. We have temporarily lost a number of carparks, but there is still a good number available, so if you are one of our regular centre users, please don't be put off, just drive in and have a look!

Shout out and a big THANK YOU to the people who so generously donate their time and skill to serving our local community through volunteering here at North Richmond Community Centre!❤️
We have a dedicated Management Committee made up of volunteers, without whom the centre could not exist!
And two of our very popular programs, our Cafe Connections on Wednesday mornings, and our annual big event Paint Hawkesbury REaD with Puddles would not be possible without our longstanding, dedicated volunteers! Thank you to you all!!! ❤️
