This years Rinseltown is set to be like no other. A heady mix of Drum and Bass, Jungle and Hardcore delivered by a fine selection of hometown heroes.
It’s a uniting of the generations with some of the states freshest emerging talent, paired with some of our best current DJ’s and some day one originators.

This year runs from 3pm til 10pm.

We welcome the following purveyors to two turntables and/or microphones.

Dan Lucas :

Drum and Bass wouldn’t be the powerhouse we take for granted in the West if it was not for Dan Lucas.
Between 1999 and 2004, MFI pushed the sounds of DNB in Perth harder than anyone before. He was responsible for bringing a seemingly endless stream of
International guests to our shores, putting on massive All Ages events and kicking off the DJ careers of dozens of local selectas.
The man who could get venues nobody else ever did before, and put DNB music before audiences that had never been exposed to it and created a generational legacy. He steps up to deliver an extremely rare DJ set for Rinseltown, his first in Perth for many years.

Destic :

One of the exciting new generation from the western shores, we are proud to welcome Destic to this years Rinseltown.
A familiar face at many events over the last few years, she is always guaranteed to deliver a upfront and energetic selection with
an effortless cool that sets her apart from so many.

Diminish :

The DJ and Producer version of Perths beloved Dave Lotay, otherwise known as XSessiv. Diminish has been a mainstay of our DNB scene for as long as it
has existed. Releasing a hometown anthem called ‘Hold Me’ on the long running Dutch label Fokuz Recordings, Diminish is a regular on the decks both in Australia and abroad.

Ellictt :

“Who the hell is Ellictt?” was the intro of a recent UKF article about this hometown Bass Queen. She’s a boss,
and over the last decade and some she’s delivered high energy sets to the biggest audiences we’ve seen in Perth. She’s
recently released on Georgie Riots “Riot Records” in the UK and Lizplay Records in Spain and we welcome her to Rinseltown ’25.

Fuxxy :

Vinyl lover, genre bender, all round top geezer. Fuxxy has been on the turntables since before the Millennium bell rang and was a regular feature
at all the wonderful Perth raves we reminisce about. Not one to blow his own trumpet or any horn at all really, he’s always been a solid part of
Perths breakbeat and hardcore scenes and his infectious smile will light up the Rinseltown family once again.

Greg Packer :

The Doctor returns to his roots.
A true foundation figure in Perth’s Drum & Bass scene, Greg Packer has been championing Hardcore, Jungle, Dancefloor and Liquid Funk DNB from the moment those genres began. He was there from the start and was always a standout on local and International stages. He carries an enormous discography
covering most of the best DNB labels to ever exist and carries forth that output in the Disco/Nu Disco world as Dr. Packer.
Known for smooth, soulful selections and flawless mixing, he continues to represent the roots of the culture with a timeless style behind the decks.

Kevin :

One of Perths founding Fathers when it comes to Hardcore. Kevin is a DJ, a MC, and he’s also everyones mate.
Throughout the years when Perths Rave scene was developing he was everywhere, and on every lineup. Always with a smile, a pint in one hand
and a bag of great records in the other. A true lover of Hardcore and Jungle, and the scene itself.

Loboski :

Perth’s newest global export, Loboski, it’s your time! He’s just dropped some of the biggest anthems of 2025 like “I Like It” and “Astrogirl” and joins the ranks
of hometown crew who have blessed Viper Recordings with the sound of WA DNB. Leading the charge in the the future, we’re excited to hear him deliver his brand of new new.

Manikin :

Quietly but certainly, Manikin is one of the shining stars of our city. Attracting more eyes to our corner of the globe, he’s recently released some beautiful bubblers on Bristols Yamatai Records in addition to his previous work on labels like Skankandbass, EKO, Fokuz and Delta9. As a DJ he’s smooth, runs deep and is a welcome addition to Rinseltown ’25.

Menis :

Menis started his Dj career in 1996, when he made his name in the Perth Hardcore scene through his residency at the legendary Gravity nightclub.
Since his debut at Gravity he has gone on to play at Perth's most defining parties including Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, The Madhatters Ball and the Perthquake series. Menis was also a resident at Perth's premier Hardcore club night back in the day - Elysium.
He’s also had a swag of releases alongside some proper Hardcore royalty like Brisk, Storm, Hixxy and Kevin Energy.
He’s set to take us through his Field of Dreams.

Mystique :

When Mystique started her DJ life in Perth she was one of a kind. She was an absolute powerhouse on the decks delivering set after set of brutally upfront Drum and Bass records, but she did it with a twist - in heels. One of the first Queens of Australian Drum and Bass she stood out like a beacon amongst a scene of lads in caps and bomber jackets. Working her magic on the stages of Perth she was a regular at shows hosted by Loaded Dice, MFI, The Drumclub, Trafik, ATM and Delirium. A real foundation of this scene, we’re proud to bring her talents to Rinseltown this year.

NextJen :

NextJen has been hooked on all things underground since her early teen years and over two decades later she’s still heavily immersed in the rave scene as a DJ, producer and promoter. NextJen’s sound has evolved from UK/happy hardcore, oldskool and Drum n Bass and while her signature sound features euphoric leads and uplifting vocals, NextJen also favours hard hitting bass and breakbeats in her production.
Promoter of the ‘Rave On’ Hardcore parties and has just wrapped up a collaboration with Sydneys JTS called “Miracle”, forthcoming on 170 Records.
She goes hard, to the core.

NVS :

Another ‘ardcore geezer? Absolutely. nVs has been digging for records and delivering cheddar since the dawn of time. A class selecta with a deep love for all things Breakbeat, Hardcore and Jungle, especially if it’s on 12”. A lifelong obsessive of vinyl and rave culture, he’s been at it over 25 years and we can’t wait to hear what he pulls out this year.

Rintel :

Part of the foundation, as important as the floorboards. Rintel comes from the era of The Drumclub and Trafik. A day one member of the crews that shaped
the future of Drum and Bass in Australia. His set at last years Rinseltown was a beautiful excursion down the vinyl memory lane of liquid funk and he’s gonna do it all over again this year.

Rousa :

If there ever was someone who could truly say “I’ve got that on vinyl” about most things, it’s DJ Rousa.
He cut his teeth in the Perth scene playing Hardcore and Breakbeat and held residencies at Perths super clubs
Air/Rise/Mint for absolutely bloody ages too. Took out the crown for Perths Best Hardcore DJ about 5 years in a row and
is one of the nicest and realest of the real.

Sardi :

One does not measure the selection of Sardi in terms of BPM’s and Frequencies, but rather, in terms of sheer precision. Not a stray note, nor clashing sub,
nor uncomplimentary mix will be heard. Sardi is one of Perths Drum and Bass Day 1’s, delivering sets here as far back as 1998.
There was a time when he produced a fine Drum and Bass tune too, releasing Internationally on Renegade Recordings and Aspect Records.
These days he has turned his talent to Engineering Audio for the ABC, but his skills as a DJ are forever. Welcome back, Sardi.

Sinistah :

DJ Sinistah hails from the southern shores of Perth and has been there since DNB’s earliest rumbles.
A true gentleman and scholar of the arts, he regularly graced the decks of MFI raves, The Drumclub and his own Audio Error parties.
It’s a pleasure to have him on the decks for Rinseltown again.

Wattsie :

One of Perths future stars, no doubt. Wattsie embodies everything that’s right with the current generation of DJ’s in Perth. A deep love for the scene, the music, his mates and the parties we live for. Leaning towards the smoother side in his own selection, we’re extremely pleased to showcase his DJ talents at Rinseltown 25.

Hosted by:

Assassin : MFI, Trafik, XS, Emerge, you name it - he hosted it. Assassin burst onto the Perth scene as a MC way back in 1999. Suddenly - he was everywhere, all the time! A well loved Microphone Controller and great mate to all. Welcome back, Scotty.

XSessiv : A child prodigy DJ turned MC, XSessiv has graced the stages the world for the last 25 years as a MC, a host, and a great friend to all.
Another champion of the scene we love, for as long as it’s existed. He’s hosting as well as DJ’ing under his Diminish alias. The only question is, will he call for his own rewind?

Thank you.

It's hard to put into words how pleased we are with Rinseltown '24. Thank you so much to all the punters who passed through and showed love to some of the best DJ's and MC's this town has ever produced.
It was no mean feat to get the band back together and worth every second once the needle hit the record. Speaking of record, the main room and 459 were both recorded nicely so hold tight for the tape pack.

Here's a quick video recap edit, more to follow.
