REALM is an immersive experience exploring the connection between music and the mind and body.

Created by Eric J Dubowsky, the ARIA and Grammy Award-winning producer behind mixes for Flume, FKA twigs and Tame Impala, ambient music artist Matt Curtin and Creative Director Tim Baggott, REALM aims to engineer specific cognitive and physiological responses through sound, including vivid mental imagery, dopamine spikes and chills.

“REALM is about understanding what sound is really doing to the brain. We know music can make you feel things. But what if we could design that experience with intention and improved well-being outcomes for the listener?” - Eric J Dubowsky

Developed in collaboration cognitive neuroscientist Dr Steffen A. Herff at The University of Sydney, the project is backed by lab testing, with compositions tested on international participants through the Sydney Music, Mind & Body Lab at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

REALM is an evolving project that invites audience members to share their personal experience post-event to inform its ongoing development.

“A mind-bending experience” - Happy Mag

EPISODE 16 // DOOF NIGHTS x ART

Sydney based techno artist .hadid has been making serious moves in the scene, with releases on Matt Sassari’s label, a collaboration with Alan Fitzpatrick, and two tracks featured in Spotify’s Techno Bunker editorial playlist.

Former Egg London resident and a regular in Beatport’s Peak Time / Driving Techno charts, Trent is currently pushing himself through a challenge of creating a new track every day. A firm believer that consistency beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.

Strap yourselves in. This one’s gonna be big 💥
