What an amazing day . It was the most amazing group of people and the official joining of two families, that although live on opposite sides of the world, but they are so connected.

The whole ceremony was bilingual and I felt like I was talking to each and every person there.

I hope that I’ll be back at this fabulous venue soon.

I can’t wait till the ‘real photos’ come out from but in the meantime … I know don’t give up my day job

Well after the past couple of days torrential rain and incredibly rough weather to wake up this morning to a spectacular sunny day with blue sky for Ruby Sue’s baby naming down at Merewether beach we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day.

Blending 2 cultures and languages is my favourite thing and having Ruby’s grandparents here from Martinique was so special. Doing the ceremony in both French and English, being able to speak to them directly during the ceremony, down on the sand with the crashing of the Pacific just behind us was magical.

The sand ceremony was literally facilitated by everyone collecting a handful of sand where we stood and filling the jar which then provided stability to the candle that was then lit by the 2 godparents.

Such a beautiful family surrounded by their village who will no doubt embrace Ruby and guide her through her life.

It is so special when you can have both your precious grandparents do a reading especially for you on your wedding day. ...
