Our Story

For over 20 years the Thoroughood Family nurtured their catering business until it became one of the Hunter’s longest running, favourite caterers. In that time Grinners catered for thousands of family and corporate functions.

In 2019 Carolyn Thoroughood retired and passed on her wealth of knowledge and experience to its new owner, Bernard Robinson. Bernard is proud to be driving this successful business into the future with fresh ideas and old favourites.

Bernard’s favourite food memory is eating his Grandmother’s melt-in-the-mouth apple pie. It’s a taste he’s been trying to replicate for most of his life!

With an interest in nutrition, and a love for food that nurtures your body and soul, Bernard ensures that the abundance of food provided for you, whether as a set menu or tailored feast, is prepared with the freshest ingredients and matches your needs.
