This week's guest mix comes from Eora basshead, Jaxxin.

Jaxxin's introduction to bass music came through heavy metal, with the heavier side of drum and bass and dubstep naturally becoming her focus. Based in Eora (Sydney AU) she spent years in the crowd before stepping behind the decks herself.

Her sets are fast-paced and bass-driven, with a focus on clean transitions and high energy without losing flow.

Since starting out, she has played for SHOOK and DoofNights, performed at CHRONICALLY ILL AUDIO's label launch with Afterlife Drum & Bass, and supported Ekko & Sidetrack at Oxford Art Factory. She is also set to play Dirty Hertz Requiem Rave on May 30.

This week's guest mix comes from Eora-based noisemaker, Ilusion.

Eora-based (Sydney, AU) DJ and producer Ilusion plays across the deeper end of bass music, drawing on jungle, dub, and minimal drum and bass.

His sets lean on rhythm and space - percussive, hypnotic, and tightly mixed, with a focus on flow rather than flash.

He's shared lineups with Enigma Dubz, DJ Hazard, AnaΓ―s, Mandidextrous, Gentleman's Club, Kara, and Tsuki, and contributed guest mixes for SUBjective - Eora, SHOOK, and WOMP KREW.

Ilusion is currently preparing to launch Substate Sessions, a project centred on deeper, tech-driven bass and doof-leaning sounds.

This week's guest mix comes from Eora jungle selecta and connoisseur, King Henry!

Based in Eora (Sydney AU), King Henry is a DJ and radio host with a deep connection to bass music in all its forms. Drawing from drum and bass, jungle, UKG, hardcore, rave and soundsystem culture, his sets lean toward high energy with a nod to oldskool funk influences and underground sounds.

He's had the chance to support artists including Andy C, Aries, ShockOne, Tsuki, Virtual Riot and Whiney, and has played at events across Eora hosted by Afterlife Drum & Bass, BUMP IN!, Chinese Laundry, Dayshift , Banana Bombs Records, The Elements Of Tech & Bass, SHOOK and Wonky Nomad Productions . He's also a regular at Midnight Spinnaz events.

In 2026, he launched CHRONICALLY ILL AUDIO, a community-focused label aimed at supporting local and emerging artists, while contributing to better disability access and inclusion within Eora's electronic music scene.

You can catch him every Friday from 12–1pm on FBi Radio hosting The Midday Mix, where he highlights a mix of local, emerging and international artists.

This week we are excited to feature Eora selecta, Mike Bee.

Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Mike started DJing in Durban in 2008, playing mostly house and commercial sets in smaller venues. Long residency nights - sometimes up to 8 hours - helped him build a solid feel for reading a room and settling into the right vibe without overthinking it.

His taste has always leaned toward electronic music in all its forms, and over time he has followed whatever sounds feel honest in the moment rather than sticking to one lane.

After moving to Australia, he found a strong connection with drum and bass, which has since become a big part of his sets.

Along the way, he has had the chance to support artists such as Keeno, Monty, DRS, Delta Heavy, Danny Byrd, Unglued, Digital, Monty, Friction, Satl, and more and is on support for the up-coming Eora show for Ill Truth.

On top of his skills behind the decks, Mike has made a small meaningful contribution to the musical landscape in Eora (Sydney AU), by becoming a part of the Afterlife Drum & Bass crew, and personally launching Eora's only true liquid drum and bass party, Real Fluid Drum n Bass.

This week's guest mix comes from bass connoisseur, Kāz.

Hailing from the South West UK, Kāz is a DJ and producer shaped by Bristol's sound system culture, now based on Eora (Sydney AU) and finding his place in the local bass scene. He's played for crews including Dirty Hertz, Low-End Focus, Wonky Nomad Productions and Pulse in Australia, as well as Shambles in the UK.

He's part of Deep South Collective and one third of the trio Blind Matter, and has recently supported artists such as Mystic State and GLM.

His sets lean into deeper, soulful selections alongside steppers and heavier low-end - rooted in sound system music and built for the dance floor.

This mix moves through uplifting moments, deeper cuts and darker pressure.

πŸ”ŠARTIST SPOTLIGHTπŸ”Š

We welcome Whompus to our Taj takeover at Antigravity this April!

Whompus is the production and DJ alias of Mulubinba local and NBC resident weirdo Nathan Blackett, known in the Australian underground bass orbit for sets that don't sit still. His sound pulls from everywhere and nowhere at once - intricate melodic layers, sticky low-end wobble, and off-kilter rhythms, often smeared with dissonance and mild structural collapse. Expect trancey moments, sudden drops into swampy darkness, and a constant blur between dancefloor propulsion and inward spiral. Bass music that mutates mid-thought and loudly dares you to stay present.

Over recent years, Whompus has been steadily embedded in the underground - playing warehouses, fundraisers, doofs, and festivals including Art Valley, Dragon Dreaming Festival, Basscamp, 23 Crew's Developmental, Origins of Entropy, Dreamstate's Midnight Journey, Mountain Falls, Tribe Ascension, Subsonic, wavecult's Imbolc Festival, SnakePit Sound's Sub Terra, Esoteric Festival, and Initiation NYE Festival. He's shared stages with artists including Dillinja, KOAN Sound, Leo Cap, Hypho, PAV4N, ASHEZ, and A Hundred Drums.

A hands-on part of Newy Bass Crew, he helps with curation, logistics, and the quiet, unglamorous work that keeps the system humming while the speakers sweat.
