Newcastle friends! Who’s free on Monday? I’ve decided to hold a FREE terracotta pot painting workshop. So if you love a chat & being creative, I invite you to come along to my beautiful studio in Hunter Street and paint some pots with me.
The bonus is that we are partnering with Soul Hub (my favourite Newcastle charity) who will be giving the pots away to their volunteers for Mother’s Day. If, however, you paint one that you’d like to keep, you can pay $10 & take it home with you.

I know it’s school holidays, so feel free to bring your kids/grandies with you😊 You can just come for an hour or so anytime between 9am & 3pm if you like, or come the whole day!

We're excited to announce that talented wire sculpture artist, Samuel Troyer (https://www.facebook.com/troyerWireSculptures), will be running one of our School Holiday Workshops next week. He will be sharing some of his wire sculpting techniques and has designed some unique, pipe cleaner characters to teach to our students. This will be a fun and interesting morning for students of all ages.

The final activity for our Spring Holiday workshops will be a fun and funky Fabric Christmas Wreath. This activity will be enjoyable for all ages and each student will have a lovely Christmas wreath to take home and decorate with for many years to come. If you'd like to join us for a whole day of Christmassy fun, you may also like to book in for our morning session and make a coordinating Christmas stocking.

We’re getting in early with our Christmas prep here at the Bella! Join us for our very merry Christmas craft day! We will be making cute and personalized Christmas stockings in the morning. There will be lots of felt and fabrics to choose from for each student to make their stocking as unique as they are. We will have sewing machines available to use for older students who can use one and would like to, but we will also be using glue and/or hand stitching techniques for everyone else. No sewing experience necessary to enjoy this fun activity.

Tie dyeing is great fun! In this workshop the students will learn several tie-dying techniques and have the opportunity to experiment with a practice run before their final piece.
One white t-shirt and a bandana size piece of fabric is included in the price of this workshop as are all the other materials needed. You are welcome to bring other white, cotton items from home to dye & if we have time you can dye them also (eg socks). $50 per person. This creative workshop will give students the opportunity to learn some different painting techniques and produce a unique personalised plate to keep or gift. We will be using ready to use crockery items and ceramic paint, so there is no need for a kiln as the items are already glazed. Learn some techniques for decorating with royal icing; then get hands on and creative with your own cookies to decorate.
We will provide the cookies to ice and all the tools and fun ingredients for decorating 10 cookies each. The class will include packaging the decorated cookies in a cello gift bag in the hopes that they'll make it all the way home;)

This is a paint and sip style event for kids! We will firstly introduce the students to some of the artworks of Wassily Kandinsky, one of the pioneers of abstract modern art. The students will then have the opportunity to produce their own acrylic on canvas board painting using various techniques taught during this fun and creative afternoon.
