Tasmania! It may be a smaller state than some but there are so many places here to explore. Cradle Mountain is one such place. The Dove Lake circuit will take you 2-3 hours and on a day with heavy cloud and rain it’s a good option. Tasmania Travel Tips

Seward, Alaska! What amazing scenery. The temperature has hovered around -2 deg cel but that hasn’t seemed to bother us. Three or four layers helps. Took a trip out into Resurrection Bay where we saw a whale, dall porpoises, otters, bald eagles, puffin birds and Billy goats. Alas, no Orcas at this stage.
By the edge of the Bay there is a museum and educational centre.

Earlier this year, I entered the National Portrait Photography Competition run by the National Gallery in Canberra. This is a portrait of a dear friend of mine, Margaret. She’s a dressmaker and has been for over 60 years. In June she will be 94 years old. I knew my portrait probably wouldn’t be “edgy” enough or even good enough but I put myself out there nevertheless.
NO! It did not make the finals but I am actually happy I tried. Thank you Margaret for allowing me to take your portrait. Love you xx

Cinque Terre! What an amazing part of Italy. This UNESCO area consisting of five towns along the west coast of Italy has had its fair share of tragedies. Storm Ciaran has just ripped through and they have come up so resilient. In October 2011 storm destroyed so so much more. They have rebuilt and restored. They forge ahead. Grazie Mille Cinque Terre.
