Every family has a story it doesn’t tell. A mother. A son. A past they thought they’d buried, until it comes roaring back.

Counting and Cracking spans four generations, five decades and two countries, from Colombo to Sydney. It’s a story of love, war, exile and the ties between parents and children that hold even when everything else falls apart.
