Charlie & Claudia 💘 The wedding from my reel 💘
With names like Charlie and Claudia, it almost sounds like they were always destined to end up together. But for these two, destiny had a modern twist — in the form of an app called Tinder.
Now, if you’re sitting there wondering what Tinder is — all I can say is honestly… good for you. But for the rest of us, it seems meeting someone at a bar just isn’t quite as easy as it used to be. Especially when your closest bar is 20 minutes away, like Charlie’s is, and is usually filled with the same people you’ve seen everywhere, every time that you’ve come to town since your pre-school days. It’s enough to make you want to give the apps a go, and see what’s out there beyond the boundaries of Walgett and Collarenebri, isn’t it?!
So thankfully for this love story — that’s exactly what Charlie and Claudia did. With no expectations, they both hopped on Tinder, and before they knew it, they were just one right swipe away from meeting future forever.
Committed to his work on land, I am told it did take Charlie a little while to pencil their first date in. But when a storm rolled in — causing a blackout and soil too wet to work on —Charlie finally decided to send it Werris Creek Way and meet the very cute Claudia that he had been chatting to.
As it turned out, that storm wasn’t in a hurry to stop. The water rose quickly, and during their first time meeting each other, Charlie and Claudia did infact ended up flooded in together for two days. Yep, two days… Thank god they realised pretty quickly that they liked each other.
Claudia actually says it was love at first sight. From the moment she saw Charlie get out of the ute at her house, she knew she was going to marry this man. And on Saturday she did!
I had the pleasure of heading out West on Saturday to officiate their on farm wedding! And let me tell you it was fun fun fun! 💃🏼
