A steady few months, the days in the canteen have been busier than normal for this time of year.
In between canteen days I’ve been lucky enough to cater for several local businesses. Morning teas, lunches, afternoon teas and even a casino night for a bit of excitement. Grateful for my girls who keep up with it all and put in a bit extra when canteen days and catering jobs fall on the same day.

Mardi from Windara Bakery, they are open 7 days a week and deliver fresh breads even on a public holiday!
Sue East, your strawberries are amazing!
Tendercuts butcher and bakehouse, they cut and prepare meat to order, there is nothing they can not do! The bakehouse fill last minute requests, thanks Jess for always answering my SOS!
Clothiers free range eggs. Delivered straight to my door.
Naracoorte Foodland has the freshest fruit and veg.
I can’t forget the woollies click n collect girls. You save me so much time!
It takes a team to keep a small business going and I appreciate everyone I deal with.

Fresh made roast vegetable frittata to please the gluten free customers at the saleyards tomorrow.

The only photo I have from catering for the CFS cadet training camp this weekend is these salt n pepper beef burgers from tendercuts butchers.
The 20 cadets and trainers didn’t go hungry. Bacon and egg rolls with hash browns for breaky, fresh cakes and slices for smoko, salad rolls and sangers for lunch and burgers and pasta bakes for dinners. Some fresh fruit, chocolates, juices and crisps too.
The cfs put in a lot of hours training and volunteering to gain skills required in an emergency.
