Today was one of those days that reminded me just how sacred this work is.

To be trusted with someone’s story, especially at a time of deep grief, is something I will never take lightly.

Luke’s service was raw, real, and full of love. It reflected a man who was deeply loved, deeply known, and whose life could never be neatly summed up in a few words.

Thank you to Luke’s family for trusting me with such an important role. It was an absolute privilege to help honour him today.

Rest easy, Luke.

Flashback to my very first wedding ceremony.

I still remember the nerves, the excitement, and the quiet little voice in my head saying, “Please don’t muck this up.” What I didn’t know then was how much this role would come to mean to me.

That first ceremony was the beginning of something really special. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of standing beside so many couples as they step into married life, and every single ceremony has taught me something.

About love.
About people.
About confidence.
About trust.
And about the importance of telling a story properly.

We all start somewhere, and this was my somewhere.

Still grateful. Still learning. Still absolutely honoured every time a couple chooses me.
