A day of a soaring temperature of 40 did not deter this glamorous bride from arriving at her wedding by driving her car down Pit Lane onto the race track at Motor Sport Park to join her groom for their wedding ceremony, with this message: “Thank you so much Di!!! It was the best day of my life ahaha”.

Weddings are always happy events and this one certainly did not disappoint. A sunny Sunday afternoon at Cambrai with this lovely couple Angie and Steve. It makes it even better when you receive a thankyou note like this:
Hi Di,
I just wanted to thank you for making our ceremony so wonderful. I could not have asked for better, you helped us both feel relaxed and comfortable. It was a beautiful day and the reception was a total hit with everyone. It was a perfect day.

A winter wedding with a difference – a small ceremony held in my home for this lovely couple and their witnesses, where the sun was out just long enough to allow for some outdoor photographs in the garden.
I can now accommodate small intimate ceremonies at my home in a private room with background music, a signing table with candles and flowers, an open fire (if required), and a large country garden with riverside access for wonderful photographs. Ideal for couples simply wanting to ‘elope’ or have their marriage conducted in private.

Summer and autumn weddings are now over and what a wonderful time for all the beautiful brides, handsome grooms and their families to enjoy their wedding ceremonies free of the COVID restrictions previously in place.
I realise now just what a variety of wonderful venues we have in this area - stone barns, rustic iron sheds, golf courses, riverside parks, rainforest gardens, wineries, and of course the family farm and home garden - all making equally interesting and special settings for wedding ceremonies.
I look forward to the spring weddings - and meeting more couples to work with to plan the ceremony for their special day. It is already looking very busy this season – love must be in the air!

A wonderful way to celebrate a winter wedding is indoors and the Pretoria at Mannum was the ideal venue for Patrick and Angelie who were joined by their workmates and friends with the ceremony livestreamed to their families in the Philippines.

Another sunny autumn day for the wedding of this happy couple, Nathan and Georgie - who chose the gardens of the historic Round House at Murray Bridge for their ceremony, with the sun shining, and the river and interesting building in the background it was the perfect setting for this autumn wedding.

I now look forward to the winter weddings which are often held indoors although some brave couples still opt for the outdoors in crisp cool settings, but then around the corner comes spring which is undoubtedly the most popular wedding season.

The venues for weddings held during summer certainly differed -from the brown farming land near Mannum Waterfalls to the lush green willow lined riverside of the Murray River where guests were ferried to and from the wedding by boat. These weddings exemplify what I enjoy most and that is officiating at true country wedding ceremonies. I actually wore my cowgirl boots to one country themed wedding ceremony.
I now look forward to the spring wedding season.

As summer is nearing its end there have been some wonderful weddings during recent months, despite heatwaves, storms and the like. Venues from the tranquil local Rainforest Retreat and Garden to the scenic Mount Lofty Golf Club and many others have all featured in my wedding ceremonies. We are indeed fortunate to have so many interesting and accessible venues in this part of the State. Whilst COVID has certainly caused many delays and plans having to be changed, it has not dampened the enthusiasm of the couples I have married. They have been resilient and flexible with changes that had to be made and I commend them for that. I now look forward to the autumn weddings.

I am a professional Civil Marriage Celebrant with over 11 years experience.
My base is Murray Bridge and while I love country life and particularly country wedding ceremonies I am equally at home with ceremonies in the city, at wineries, on the beach and in fact anywhere at all.
I am really quite your "mobile" Celebrant as spend a considerable amount of my time in my car! Therefore more than happy to meet couples at their home, my home office or anywhere convenient be it a coffee shop or hotel.

I am an advocate for equality in marriage.

Well, February and March have been very busy for me with weddings all over including Adelaide Hills, Walker Flat, Sfera's in the city, upper South East and my home town of Murray Bridge. The weather has been kind to all my brides, who of course looked absolutely glam on their special day. I noticed a change to the ivory tones and a simpler slimmer design of wedding dress, and saw more of the grooms in suits! Looking forward to some cooler weather weddings coming up also.
These photos taken at Old Woodhouse Manor at Piccadilly of a rustic iron hoop with an amazing arrangement of colourful native flowers and leaves, rose petals and signing table and chair with sash and dried flowers.
