🔥What an unexpected surprise to get a shout out from Apex this week. We love being part of the community. Working alongside the volunteers from the Apex Club of Mount Isa and their families to serve is really special to us! Thanks guys for your your friendship & for all the hard work you do everyday to make Mount Isa a great place to be. Now to figure out a way to mount this in the truck 🔥🔥🔥

🏆 HEADING TO THE 2026 MAILMAN EXPRESS? 🐎

👍Up to 3000 people are expected at the Mount Isa Race Club tonight for the annual Mailman Express horse races.

🐎 There will be seven local races throughout the afternoon.

👏The event honours legendary bushman, drover, and rodeo rider Wally Mailman, who is the father of famous actor Deborah Mailman.

So, when do you need to be there? 🤔
❗️ GATES OPEN - 11:00am
❗️ LOCAL RACES - across the afternoon
❗️ MAILMAN EXPRESS BEGINS - 7:00pm

They'll be live music and food and drinks.

🎫 Tickets for the event available online and at the gate until sold out. 👏

🏇Heats of the Mailman Express will be run under lights starting around 7pm, at the Mount Isa Race Club following this afternoon’s race meeting at Buchanan Park.

🏆The fastest 10 horses enter the Calcutta for auction before they return to the track for another 200m run against the clock, with the quickest crowned champion.

Sitting here at 12:30am trimming briskets to cook all night for tomorrow night, filling sauce bottles and scrubbing out the truck after an amazing night at the street festival and we can’t help but feel so greatful to our community for their unwavering support of our little business! What an actual blessing to be booked out week after week, month after month and invited to cater your weddings, Christmas parties and community functions. We are humbled by your continued support, Mount Isa🔥🤠🤘Thanks for coming along for a feed tonight & a massive shout out to Mount Isa City Council for all of their hard work putting on such an awesome event for all of us again this year🙌

We have so many people to thank for the lunch, dinner and breakfast service we were able to provide at The Camooweal Drover’s event this weekend. As usual, this can’t be done alone and to our team…🥂Cheers! Thanks to the organisers for the invite and the challenge. We loved being a small part of this very special event.
