The Mount Beauty Writers Festival is very happy to announce Saskia Beudel as one of our presenting Authors at this year's festival on the 10th of October.

Saskia is a writer of fiction and nonfiction. Her books have been shortlisted for the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards, a Dobbie Award and the Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature.

Saskia's latest non fiction novel, 'Peaking', recounts her story of preparing and taking part in the Alpine Three Peaks challenge, and her gruelling one hundred and eleven day preparation for the ride.

Saskia’s essays have appeared in the Virginia Quarterly Review, Best Australian Essays, The Saturday Paper, The Sydney Review of Books, Kill Your Darlings, HEAT and The Iowa Review.

We have a full list of every Author that will be a part of our 2026 festival, being held on the 10th of October, at the Mount Beauty Community Centre. Tickets will be available to purchase through the website as of Wednesday this week, so make sure that you get them quickly. They are certainly sure to sell out quickly.
