Amidst the sounds of clucking hens, neighing horses and creaking windmills, Class 3 students stepped into the rhythm of farm life on their recent camp.

They fed animals, collected eggs, churned butter and learned the value of practical work and shared effort.

Each task deepened their understanding of how human life is woven with the natural world and the animals that sustain it.

This camp is often a child’s first taste of independence away from home. Living together, helping one another and sharing stories under the same roof builds teamwork and a quiet pride in their own growing capabilities.

Thank you to the teachers and parent volunteers who supported this special learning experience for Class 3.

Thank you to all the High School families who joined us for our Moonlight Event last night. What a joy it was to fill the LAC with the energy of our High School community and to share learning and connection together.

A special thank you to alumni Arabella and Tess for generously sharing their journeys since graduating from MBWS. We are so proud to have been part of your story and inspired to hear where life has taken you, from a career in aviation to work in international development.

It was wonderful to hear your reflections on how a Waldorf education helped prepare you for the opportunities and challenges that followed. Your advice to our students was simple and powerful:

"Enjoy your learning and try it all, even the hard stuff."

Thank you, Arabella and Tess, for reminding us that curiosity, courage and a willingness to embrace challenges can open unexpected pathways in life.

Our Class 10 Surveying Camp brought together lived experience in a new landscape, moments of awe in nature, and the opportunity for students to strengthen their measurement and drafting skills through the creation of an accurate map.

So many aspects of a Waldorf education invite students to move from direct experience towards deeper conceptual understanding and refined practical skills, all within a joyful community of friends.

Class 10’s cricket game was cut short by the bell last week, but the next round is ready to continue this week, weather permitting.

It’s been a joy to watch the friendships and playful competition growing between our Class 10 students and their visiting peers from India. This long-held connection between our schools continues to nurture shared experiences, collective joy and pride in our global Waldorf community.
