The House & Gardens

Nestled in the Adelaide Hills, just 20 minutes up the Freeway, amongst picturesque heritage gardens lies historic Auchendarroch House. Originally named The Oakfield Hotel, Auchendarroch derives its origins from the Scottish-Gaelic term ‘holy place of the oaks’.

Built in 1860, the House saw its first redevelopment in 1878 when it was purchased by Robert Barr Smith and now under the Wallis Family it has become the majestic, lovingly restored venue it is today.

A unique entertainment experience for locals and tourists alike, the House and Gardens are open for everyone to enjoy.
