Kooroomba has been created as a unique tourist destination, nestled in the Fassifern Valley at Mt Alford near Boonah, about 65 minutes from Brisbane and 1hr 45minutes from the Gold Coast.The property consists of a cellar door, restaurant and lavender shop which overlooks a six hectare vineyard and a breathtaking lavender field, with magnificent views of the Scenic Rim mountains. and Lavender Farm provides a southern France experience on the doorstep of Brisbane and is the perfect setting for a relaxing day away.Principals Bob and Marlene Carroll have invested $3 million into the development, which is seven years in the making. The award winning cellar door/restaurant complex is of a 5 star level and is a blend of rustic and contemporary architecture. The wine marketed from the cellar door is from grape grown on the property, which along with the Modern Australian cuisine served in the restaurant from local produce provides a unique regional wine and food experience. Kooroomba has a large variety of wines including Chardonnay, Verdelho Marsanne, Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot. The unusual Verdelho Marsanne blend has been served in Paris
and received high praise from the French people who tasted it. The lavender fields have a number of varieties of lavender
– English, French, Italian, New Zealand and Australian designed to provide flower most of the year.

You're welcome to enjoy these anywhere throughout our beautiful outdoor grounds. You are also welcome to BYO a picnic rug as the terrace seating is limited.

As it's peak season and we're incredibly busy, please keep in mind that some items will sell out throughout the day. There will also be quite the queue for food.

Luke Moody 🚁

Today we’re introducing the man who helps keep Elite Helicopters flying safely and smoothly , Luke Moody, our Chief Pilot & Chief Flying Instructor.

With a wealth of experience in aviation and a passion for helicopters, Luke plays a huge role in everything we do at Elite. From flying our guests on unforgettable experiences to mentoring and training the next generation of pilots, safety, professionalism and a love of aviation are at the heart of what he does.

As our Chief Pilot, Luke is responsible for maintaining our high operational standards and ensuring our pilots are trained, current and ready to deliver the Elite experience every time they take to the skies.

But ask Luke what he loves most about the job and we’re sure the answer will come down to one thing, flying helicopters! 🚁

Whether he’s in the cockpit, training another pilot or helping behind the scenes, Luke is a big part of the Elite Helicopters team.

Just a heads-up! We expect Wednesday, 12 August to be one of our busiest days of the year due to the Brisbane Ekka public holiday. Perhaps even busier than a Sunday!
If you're planning to visit, please allow a little extra time, as wait times may be longer than usual. Our team will be working hard to look after everyone, and we really appreciate your patience and understanding during this busy day.
