BLUE LOTUS ROOM - IMPORTANT NEWS!

Bellydance classes Term 3 (Aug-Sep) & Term 4 (Oct-Nov) 2025 are now all on the new updated website! Important updates include a return to courses rather than class passes (which is more a gym/yoga/pilates model). As a dance teacher, I see much deeper integration and learning when bellydance classes are taken in a progressive manner, rather than sporadically. Trialling the flexible approach was useful this year, as many participants were unwell in winter. After careful consideration, the offer of steady, progressive learning makes more sense. Casual classes are still available, contact me for pensioner discounts. See all offerings for Term 3 & 4 Courses!

•⁠ ⁠Kindly note Sep 1-5 classes cancelled as I’ll be at a conference all week.

•⁠ ⁠Wed nights 7pm classes will be offering Lotus pharaonic theatre choreos from late August until September.

Hi everyone, remember we have our second last monthly Arabic bellydance party Sat 27 Sep 7pm-10pm, with delicious food and drinks plus bellydance stage performances and great, lively club style music for dancing! It is a fully catered event so kindly make your booking by Wed morning 24th Sep 9am. Due to the nature of the event, tickets must be pre-booked as there are no door sales on the night.

Just a reminder that we are have more fun classes this week and an exciting CLUB CAIRO class Fri night 15th Aug 7-9pm. You can book online for the discounted rate. Espresso martini is the cocktail of the night! Also, the AUSET Fan Veil troupe choreo Sep course bookings open today; its 2-4pm. Sat Sep 6, 13, 20, 27.

Hi Perth dancers, I'm excited to release my brand new Egyptian Dance CD "Al Nagum", with some of Cairo's top Bellydance music composers! I'll be teaching a full weekend of workshops Sat-Sun 26-27 July. You won't want to miss the 10am Sun "Al Nagum workshop; beautiful, classical Raqs Sharqi with Samaii to the title track by maestro Ramzy Labib. Music CD will be launched that weekend. Hello from Egypt everyone! I trust you are all well. :)

It’s been wonderful relaxing on the Red Sea. I am off to Cairo to teach at the Nile Group festival with these drummers (Sam’s buddys) in a live class soon, and will also pick up some hip jingles at the markets to bring back for you! We still have two ‘Egyptian Baladi’ Zooms, 2pm Sat 12th & 19th July from the Red Sea.

I will be back 24th Jul in Perth.

26th-27th July (Sat/Sun) I am teaching a rare deep weekend intensive, it is well worth it if you’d like to feel a huge upgrade in your dance skills! 10am-4pm daily 10 hours of workshops, just $300 (a bargain for such an enriching weekend it is usually $1200 when taught overseas). It is a catered event so please book in advance. I will be also doing some filming of our group dances, so simple black is always good, with a coloured hip scarf. Love to see you there!
