🎉 Thank you so much, Isaac region! 🎉 It was such a fantastic day.

Thank you to Luarna Dynevor from Barada Barna Aboriginal Corporation INC 8343, Kelly Vea Vea - Mayor Isaac Region, Sean Dillon MP who was representing Resources Minister Dale Last - Member for Burdekin and Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie MP, Councillors, long-term residents, plus our amazing industry and business leaders. Isaac Regional Council advises residents of public parking spaces for the Isaac Events Centre Community Open Day:

Saturday, 22 March 2025
10am to 2pm

Parking spaces are located at Batchelor Parade, at the back of Isaac Events Centre (formerly known as Moranbah Community Centre). There will be designated spaces for disabled parking as highlighted below.

The driveway and pedestrian laneway between Mills Avenue and Batchelor Parade will be closed during the Community Open Day.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to exercise caution and follow all directional signage and not to park on finger parks along Mills Avenue or Belyando Avenue as it will cause damage to the water sprinkler systems to green the spaces.

We are seeking a full-time Team Leader - Catering at the newly refurbished Isaac Events Centre in Moranbah. This role involves delivering efficient and effective catering services for functions, events, and day-to-day bookings at the Isaac Events Centre. You'll ensure customer service excellence and the creation of community value are paramount in delivering outstanding events.

✅ High level of customer service
✅ Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, late evenings and weekends;
✅ Competent in the use of computers, Microsoft Office suite and job-specific software;
✅ Demonstrated experience in the catering of events and functions;
✅ Experience in effective stock control and menu creation;
✅ Experience in the supervision of staff and the ability to delegate tasks as required;
✅ A current C Class Open Australian Drivers Licence;
✅ Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or ability to obtain prior to commencement;
✅ Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate or ability to obtain.
