🏏 U10 Huntsmen
We knew a win was coming and today was the day! 8 boundaries and improved calling. Solid bowling despite a few wides, with 6 wickets, a maiden from Zac and magnificent c&b from Henry securing a 49-run win. POM Parker hit his first boundary, took 2 wickets and fielded brilliantly! 💚
Batting: Dom 23(20), Zac 21(20)
Bowling: Parker 2/8(4), Zac 1/5(4)

🏏 U10 Rabbitohs
Tough game, going down by 36 runs. Bowling and fielding were next level, but batting wasn’t our strength today. POM Vinny hit 2 boundaries and took 2 wickets. Improving every week Rabbitohs! 💚
Batting: Vinnie 10(15), Rory 6(16)
Bowling: Vinnie 2/21(3), Rory 1/14(3)

🏏 U10 Redbacks
Fantastic effort with just 5 players! The boys secured a 50-run win over Randwick. Leroi smashed an unbeaten half-century with 11 fours, supported by Matthew. Taylor and Johnny also took wickets, while Matthew bowled tightly. Best Batter Leroi and Best Fielder Ruan for his great work, including a keeper catch! 💚
Batting: Leroi 51(25), Matthew 15(23)
Bowling: Leroi 3/8(3), Ruan 2/2(3)

🏏 U10 Funnelwebs
Strong bowling and fielding against Randwick, but the boys struggled with the bat. Well done Logan on his bowling! 💚
Batting: Lily 16(15), Rex 13(15)
Bowling: Tiarnan 2/13(3), Logan 1/9(3)

🏏 U11 Whitetails
A brilliant 68-run win with PBs in batting and bowling! Otis and Kit topped the runs, followed by Will, Max, Leo and Raif. Wickets across the board, with Will and Leo taking 2 each. Run outs from Flynn, Will and Max and a great catch from Cian. POM Will for his all-round performance! 💚
Batting: Kit 22(15), Otis 22(15)
Bowling: Will 2/3(2), Leo 2/12(3)

🏏 U11 Black Widows
WHAT A WIN! The girls produced their best batting performance yet, scoring 104 runs for an impressive 40-run victory! POM Arya scored 16 with 3 glorious fours and took a beautiful wicket. Hannah had a blinder behind the stumps, taking 2 wickets in her first ever go at keeping! They were having so much fun they didn’t even realise they’d won until after the match! Perfect timing for Women and Girls in Cricket Week! 💚

This week cricket clubs across Australia are celebrating Women & Girls Week, recognising the important contributions women and girls make to our great game!

Here at South Sydney Mt Carmel, we’re celebrating our girls on the field and the mums, coaches, scorers, volunteers and supporters who make it all happen.

A big thank you to all the wonderful women and girls who are part of our cricket community! 💚

Two new Half Centurions this week! ♥️
Well done Tom from our U15s who picked up his first 50(60). And also to Josh who picked up his PB of 58 and first 50 for the club.

🏏U13 Copperheads (Fri)
First game for the Copperheads and what a great win.
Batting: Zac C 23(22) , Zac S 22(15)
Bowling: Fred F 2/19(3) , Freddie H 1/11(2.2)

🏏U13 Copperheads (Sun)
A massive comeback from our Copperheads - just losing by 12 runs to Coastal. Energy was low in the heat watching Coastal’s opener make 41 and it took a while to get some wickets but when they did we got some key players out. At break, the chase seemed almost impossible but the boys dug in and there were incredible performances across the board. Josh M made a half century and there was also a standout performance from Luca L. POTM goes to Max B.
Batting: Josh M 58(51) , Max B 39(24)
Bowling: Freddie H 3/24(4.1) , Noah M 1/10(3)

🏏 U13 Taipans
Was a great day of cricket for the U13 Taipans securing a victory over Randwick Stars, who put up a good fight and were on a trajectory of a chasing down our posting of 201 runs. Was a hot day out there but the Taipans were able to take the required 8 wickets in the end which made it worthwhile. It really was a whole team effort from everyone to get it over the line. Shout out to Kobi for POTM for scoring his PB.
Batting: Arthur C 41(30) , Kobi G 29(30)
Bowling: Hugo B 2/26(4.3) , Kobi G 2/29(3)

🏏 U15 Cobras
Another strong performance from the Cobras, taking on fellow Round 1 winners Randwick. Bowling first, the boys restricted Randwick early before the boundaries started flowing. But was it enough on a Booralee 2 field renowned for its quick outfield? Ethan Barrientos was the pick of the attack. Enter Tom S - A captain’s half century knock from the top, effortlessly guiding the Cobras towards victory. Ably supported by Ben M and Clyde R, with the steady closing hands of Felix J and Ethan B seeing the boys home with six overs to spare.
Batting: Tom S 50(60) , Ben M 34(18)
Bowling: Ethan B 2/12(4) , Cooper G 1/19(5)

24/10/2026

🏏 U10 Rabbitohs
A hard-fought game against Easts, falling just 5 runs short despite a solid team effort. POTM went to Rory for great persistence and a cracker of a game! 💚
Batting: Rory M 16(19) , Vincent V 9(15)
Bowling: Louis M 2/13(3) , Rory M 1/11(3)

🏏 U10 Redbacks
A tough match against a strong Easts side, whose bowling made things hard. Leroi and Ruan led the batting with great boundaries. Both picked up wickets with economical bowling, plus good efforts in the field and behind the stumps. Positives and lessons against unfamiliar opposition💚
Batting: Leroi P 19(17) , Ruan 6(17)
Bowling: Leroi 2/5(4) , Ruan 0/8(3)

🏏 U10 Huntsmen
Down to the wire for the Huntsmen, falling short by 1 run! Huge improvements with the bat, led by Dom, Zac and Ollie. The boys faced the reality of fielding in the midday sun and despite everyone contributing to wickets, it wasn’t quite enough. Zac earned POTM for a great all-round performance. Luckily a few snakes and Zooper Doopers helped heal the heartbreak! 💚
Batting: Dom C 26(20) , Zac C 23(20)
Bowling: Zac C 1/6(4) , Dom C 1/5(2)

🏏 U11 Black Widows
A tough 2nd game against last year’s premiers. A few missed catches and run-outs, but the girls are having a ball together! Tilly earned POTM for her batting and tight bowling. Pom-poms and cheering entered the game and stole the show! 🤣💚
Batting: Matilda T 8(20) , Arya P 8(20)
Bowling: Jeninna M 0/11(4) ,Matilda T 0/18(4)

🏏 U11 Funnelwebs
A tough day for Funnelwebs, missing 3 players against a strong Coastal side. Bowling, batting and fielding were solid, but the opposition proved too strong with the bat. Plenty to take away, but the team’s sportsmanship was outstanding and something to be proud of.💚
Batting: Rex C 17(24), Felix M 15(24)
Bowling: Rex C 2/25(4), Tiarnan H 1/34(4)

🏏 U11 Whitetails
A tough day against Randwick, who fielded brilliantly and took plenty of wickets. The boys showed strong bowling with wickets from Will, Kit and Raif, but missed opportunities in the field proved costly. Raif led the batting and earned POTM for his all-round performance💚
Batting: Raif I 17(15) , Kit M & Cian K 9(15)
Bowling: Raif I 2/7(2) , Kit M 1/16(3)

Frank Casey Trophy – Team of the Year 🏆

U11 Div 1 Copperheads

What a season from this group.

Premiership winners in both spring and summer, finishing the summer season undefeated and dropping just one game across spring. An incredible run of consistency and dominance.

These boys didn’t just win, they did it in style. Regularly posting scores over 200, including a huge 203-run win, with standout individual moments right across the season — half centuries, hat tricks, and even a 5-for.

More importantly, they did it as a team. A great group of boys who have a genuine love of cricket.

Nice work Copperheads 🐍

Hector Maarraoui Memorial Award – Member of the Year 🌟

This award recognises overall loyalty and contribution to the club, not just on the field, but the way a player represents the club, supports teammates, and contributes to the wider club environment.

This year we had an honourable list of nominees who represented these values. Well done Felix M, Kit M, Fred F, Ethan B, Eli C, Freddie K, Augie B and Ned V.

Greatest congratulations to our winner Eli C 👏

Eli approaches every game with enthusiasm and energy, setting a great tone for those around him and encourages his teammates along the way. He’s always eager to fill in where needed and put the team first, and over the years has stepped up across multiple teams and age groups within the club. Eli represents our club with pride at a rep level and has consistently contributed off the field at many of our community cricketing events and fundraisers. A really well-deserved recognition.

We thank the Maarraoui family for their ongoing support to the club and appearances at Presentation Day. ❤️ 💚
