Shooting across more work from sometime back...at Whittlesea Cricket Club! Hosting duties🎙️ for their Annual Award ceremony last April 10th, punctuated by their winning the Championship after 12 years. What a night, what a club. Ole, Ole, Ole!

When the songs of Clarence, Milton (Perera & Mallawarachchi), Neela Wickramasinghe, Latha Walpola, Mohideen Baig, Amaradeva and more – all pillars of Sri Lankan culture – are performed on stage, I’d rather be enjoying them, than hosting the show.

Come March 15th, I took the mic to announce… in Sinhala! The majority of my work is in English so announcing in Sinhala was novel, even unnerving. It went pretty well I'm proud to say – with the veteran of the silver screen, Buddhadasa Vithanarachchi giving his seal of approval!

Many thanks to Keerthi, Suneetha, the entire "Madurangana" troupe too, for your support and encouragement. Good to meet you again Hax, Dharshanie! Next time I'll be in the audience listening to you all😃

Emceeing a high tea! On Feb 8th at 90 Atherton, an intimate venue for the “Enchanted Garden” - that’s what I did.

Methodists College of Colombo celebrates their 160th anniversary in 2026. With such a heritage, pride aplenty and strong support from her illustrious alumni, it’s easy to see MCites go strong for 160 more, and more!

From Rasika on the violin setting the tone, Epicurex serving a delicious high tea, games and thrills, memories of Metho going back decades, dancing to the tunes of Hax - we blended nostalgia and modernity, energy with emotion. As smooth an event as I’ve ever done in my 15 years.

Thanks to Thamara and your team for trusting me - I sure enjoyed it as much as you all did!

Well, 2026 started pretty well. First up : for the Uni of Peradeniya!

What a fantastic bunch of people and a pleasure to work with them, as always.

The cause on the 7th of Feb, was a fundraiser to rebuild the University of Peradeniya - which was badly hit by Cyclone Ditwah a few months ago. With 700 people + more contributing away from the stagelights, you can count on the University being built back better, than even before.

From Co - Emceeing with Chanuka, to hosting the raffle with Dulip, working with entire PUAAVIC team across to raise record numbers for rebuilding - what a worthy cause and great fun too!
