As I turn 40 this April, I find myself reflecting on where it all began.
At one point, I told myself I would retire at 40. Life had other plans.
I will never forget my humble beginnings. From a young age, I always had a vision whatever I started, I saw it big. A real company. A strong team. Many employees. Structure. Impact.
The road hasn’t been smooth. There were rocky seasons. I’ve hurt some people, inspired many, satisfied others and now I understand… that’s part of growth. That’s part of life.
I started doing business at 16. I’ve built, lost, rebuilt, and learned. I tried to grow big in Australia, but Australia can be a tough place to scale a business especially after COVID. Recovery was not easy. The setbacks were real.
And that’s why I see my company truly taking shape in Kenya where it all started. Since 2025, I’ve been going back and forth, laying the foundation for Wanjeri Production Ltd. It’s not easy. But it’s doable. It takes guts. It takes scars. It takes lessons.
This photo is from 2007 just before I made one of the biggest decisions of my life: migrating to Australia and leaving my young family behind.
Life is a full circle. What goes around comes around.
The vision never dies. It only matures.
