At the start of most Wedding Ceremonies it’s usually me and the partner waiting up the front with the attendants. This little pocket of time is all about settling nerves and easing everyone into the moment. It’s where I get to have a bit of fun with the guests too… a few laughs, a warm welcome, filling in that classic ‘waiting gap’ before the other partner arrives. It’s also the perfect moment to quietly pull them aside for one final read-through of their vows ... something often forgotten, but absolutely worth it. Those few minutes at the start can make all the difference!

Sally brought so much enthusiasm and genuinely cared about our story, creating a personalised ceremony that included everyone … our guests and best of all, our kids! She managed our daughters and son beautifully so they and everyone felt truly part of the day. We felt so special and we can’t thank, and recommend, Sally enough! "

Tip for the Grroom: Master tying the tie before you officially tie the knot!!🤵🤵🤵

Tie it early, thank yourself later. Do the knot the night before, hang it up, and simply slip it on when it’s time to go..... Casey had it sorted!!

When tying let the big end boss the little end around. Keep the wide end doing the work and your knot will look sharp, straight, and totally intentional.

Before joining her beautiful bride-to-be, this gorgeous soul embraced every moment of the morning - we had laughter, props, flowers … it was all going on!
The garden was buzzing with joy and good energy, and the "girls just wanna have fun" vibes were on full display. It wasn’t just the bride getting into the spirit… the whole crew behind the scenes brought the magic too. I’m so glad I arrived early to witness it!

When a bride (or groom) relaxes and truly soaks up the moment …the magic happens .... and it show in every photo!

TIP:
Give yourself time for pre-ceremony photos, enjoy some silliness, and a few deep breaths. When you’re relaxed and having fun …. it shows in every photo and in every moment of your day.

I had the absolute pleasure of marrying Alex and Mick recently at the beautiful Warrawong Estate, surrounded by about 100 of their closest family and friends.

Right from the start, Alex and Mick made it clear this day was all about family. Their gorgeous boys, Eddie and Arlo, even joined me at our planning meeting and honestly, they were included from the get go .... and so well behaved!!

On the big day, the ceremony started with their sons walking in together ... and it was just so beautiful to witness.

I get asked a lot by couples whether they should include their kids in the ceremony, and my answer is always a big YES....because it adds something truly special.

Some of my favourite ways to include little ones are:
* Letting them be part of the planning, like picking a song or their outfit
* Giving them a special role — maybe as ring bearer, aisle buddy, or bouquet holder
* Sharing a family moment, like lighting a unity candle or saying vows to them - there's a though!?

And if you are worried about keeping the little ones calm? I get it. A few things that help:
* Have a trusted adult close by to help guide them is key
* And remember to go with the flow sometimes those unexpected moments end up being the sweetest memories.

Weddings are all about connection and having children involved brings so much joy, love, and magic to the day.
