Even though the Box Hill Floral Art Assn has ceased to be a floral club, our members were invited to Jodi's home for a Christmas lunch. Jodi LOVES Christmas and this is reflected in the wonderful designs in every room of her 3 storey house. Below are some of her creations. Thank you for hosting us Jodi.

Thursday 4th September 2025
Thursday was the last Box Hill Floral Art Assn. meeting having been established nearly 75 years ago. It was a sad day, as some members had been part of the club for 40 plus years, as well as more recent members. We started with our bench designs titled “our favourite design”.
Jodi made sure our final workshop was full of colour and an arrangement to take home. We were each given a bamboo plastic lined box full of Oasis and lots of beautiful spring flowers to arrange and put on our lunch table. We placed them down the centre of the tables and all sat amongst them enjoying a catered lunch.
We had a yummy lunch with the choice of bubbles, bubbles & orange juice or mineral water (we didn’t want drunk drivers!!) Lyn thanked everyone for their part in Box Hill Floral Art and Lyn presented Bev, Jodi, Karen & Denise gifts as a thank you for their work on the committee.
Jodi had scanned some old photographs of Club members, which she played on a screen, everyone had fun recognising each other (often looking a lot younger!) and the pictures brought back great memories. Members also shared some memorabilia from the past.
While it is sad that the club has had to close, Jodi has worked tirelessly and made our last couple of years such fun with organising interesting workshops and enabled us to learn through flowers and friendship.

On Thursday 7.08.2025 our bench title at Box Hill Floral Art was "One Colour" - below are the designs.
During our workshop we added cane to wire bouquet holders Jodi had constructed for us, then placed stock, spray roses, green trick, emilie and paper daisies through the holder.
N.B. we used the mustard coloured vases to hold the bouquets NOT to enhance the design!!

Rosie Kenney was our demonstrator last Thursday and the title was Pavé Plus Plus!!
Rosie had put a lot of work into the preparation for our Pavé designs, for which we were most appreciative. Below are the different designs by our members:
