Sometimes, as a creative small business, you never know where your work is going to turn up. Here’s a little something we created for Woofys. What can look simple often has a whole machine working behind it.

50 years! Half a century of making costumes, dressing up and dreaming big. What a journey! 🎈

Apparently I’m a grown-up now, so I wear suits.

Who would have thought that in 2026—in a world of fast fashion, big corporations and throwaway everything—a small business like ours could keep costume hire alive?

But here we are.

We couldn’t do it without the customers who keep backing us, and I never take for granted that I get to do something I genuinely love.

Quality costume hire is still our priority and at the heart of The Costumery. Thousands of costumes are hired, cleaned and rehired. Day after day. Month after month. Year after year.

That makes me very bloody proud.

Here’s to 50—and keeping the party sustainable for the next 50.
