Thursday 10 September marks Thursday Girls Group’s first event in their new home at the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre. Drop in from 4:30pm perfect for a little post-work or study fun before heading home for dinner!

100% of ticket and Frock sales support Thursday Girls Group, helping fund free group counselling for Victorian women living with Metastatic Breast Cancer.

New exhibition coming soon: I Can Hear The Lights works by Holly Goodridge.

Exhibition open: 2 Sep - 1 Oct 2026, Monday - Friday 9AM-5PM

Opening event: Wednesday 2 September, 6-8PM

Holly Goodridge's hand-knitted sweaters are embroidered with text and imagery drawn from lived experience as an autistic, chronically ill person.

Each garment makes visible the labour embedded in both textile work and neurodivergent survival.

Thank you to everyone who visited the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre for Open House Melbourne on 25 and 26 July 2026.

It was wonderful to share our historic building, We Sit in Circle exhibition, archival displays and First Nations weaving workshop with our community.

Another highlight was welcoming our Resident Organisation's pop-up stalls into the mix – our thanks to Emily's List Australia, Gabriela Australia, Gender Equity Victoria, Thursday Girls and Women and Mentoring - WAM Limited for all participating

NEW EXHIBITION Opening this Wednesday 5 August.

Transhome redefines home through the artworks of women artists of Indonesian background from the collection of Konfir Kabo with Melbourne-based Indonesian women artist.

Curated by two Indonesian women art practitioners Tika and Nadhila , this is a celebration of women’s self-identity, retelling their stories on their own terms, and reimagining "home."

Exhibition Dates: 5 – 24 August 2026
Hours: Mon – Fri, 9 AM – 5 PM

Closing Performance - 21 August, 6 PM – 8 PM

A site-responsive performance by Sekar Sari , followed by a discussion on her body's journey. Private Collection of Konfir Kabo.
