Seeing GODSKITCHEN AU resurrected filled my heart so much!

A brand that brought old friends back out of retirement, had two incredible stages filled with such amazing trance non-stop throughout the whole night - just wow! That was pure unadulterated trance at its finest!

When I realised the angel was there above us, I was filled with emotion, and coupled with so many classics like Gabriel & Dresden dropping Rebound or Aly & Fila gracing us with Circa-Forever… 🥲

Mark James 🇳🇿 and team you did an incredible job at capturing the essence that made it such a highlight for everyone I’ve spoken to.

Trance is 💙 and I can’t wait to see it hopefully return again!

I saw this story by James Blake doing the rounds, and I thought I’d share my thoughts a little.

Over the last 17 years of DJing and producing I’ve seen my fair share of people “blowing up overnight” after years of putting in the work.

But now across many scenes in the world, people are seeing these shadow marketing tactics at play and it makes me wonder - what does everyone else think?

Is it wrong to use the tools you have at your disposal to push yourself to the forefront as quickly as possible? 🤔

I love to believe that everyone is doing it the right way, but you hear about this more and more and it does make me a bit sad.

How much is your integrity worth? Would you take the shortcuts knowing it isn’t against “the rules” but could be seen as dodgy?

How much is success worth to you?

A long time ago in another life I opened at GODSKITCHEN AU Melbourne.

2010 was a whole different era. Progressive trance was all the rage, phones had potato cameras and raves would end with a sunrise.

I’ve reloaded my set to Soundcloud in case you want to take a trip down memory lane.

I’m so glad Godskitchen is back, and I can’t wait to see how it goes!
