It’s about time I introduced who is the face behind ✨

I’m Erica: a wife, daughter, sister & mother of three beautiful girls. Being a mother has completely become my identity & these little spaces allow me to be, just me!

‘The Beloved’ had been stirring in my heart for a long time, offering an opportunity to exercise my love for design, events, efficiency (lol) & my faith.

With over 12 years experience in youth groups, orchestrating large events for upto 500 people, paired with my love for the Catholic faith, my obsession over opportunistic details, my realistic approach where I am able to shift where needed, and my 13+ years experience as a teacher & now Religious Education Leader - ‘The Beloved’ is a passion project I feel called to share my talents in - God reminds us not to bury our talents but to use them for his glory (Mt 25:14-30).

This is a hobbyist space for me as I continue my duties as mum, wife & educator. Thus I only take on board a select amount of weddings — and the candles.. they’re usually done late late at night once the whole family is asleep 💤

If you & your fiancé value the Sacrament of Marriage & want to ensure it is one that is well thought out, runs without a hitch (well as much as possible), and is as worry free as possible - you’re in the right place. I’ll be absolutely chilled, advise (where needed), be your #1 hype girl, and will extinguish all those spot fires to the best of my ability 🤎

The support for this little passion project of mine means a lot. When I receive messages like this, it affirms the nights I spend up til late completing work, the frenzy I get into while creating & all the in betweens — it affirms its all worth it 🤎 also worth it for my little family it benefits.

Rose gold & Tiffany blue was in order for Lucena’s baptismal candle. Her parents also chose the ‘handwritten’ option for her name to match her older sister’s candle, which I also hand-wrote for a few years back.

This time I designed and created the whole candle, which is always an honour to do!

Every. Single. Detail. is considered - when the ‘father gives away the bride’ (which is the usual tradition) what happens here at the end of the aisle? Is it an awkward sudden sit down? Does the veil lift? What about the groom’s parents at this moment?
