NO Songs and Stories with Kate this morning fam! Just a reminder. Aunty Alma's Gathering Place is having a get together to mark the end of Reconciliation Week.

Next Monday is a long weekend so I will be back on Monday, June 16.

Wednesday and Friday sessions business as usual!

PSA!!!
Monday's storytime will have a break THIS MONDAY, June 2nd AND the following Monday due to the long weekend.

June 2nd there will be a smoking ceremony, 9.30am, followed by a morning tea, marking the end of "Reconciliation Week" all are welcome to attend, so see you there if you can make it!

ALSO! I WILL BE CONTINUING Monday's sessions going forward - YAAAAYYYY!!!
Im very excited to be a small part of this special place, thank you all for attending and making that possible ❤️🖤💛

Hey Friends big and small!!
Thank you so much for another gorgeous session together this morning at Aunty Alma's 🥰!!

I'm learning so much from being a small part of this beautiful, first nation's community space. Particularly from attending smoking ceremonies there each Monday prior to storytime.
The smoking ceremonies are held at 9.30am Monday and Friday mornings, these powerful and grounding ceremonies are open to all to attend, so feel free to join in there also!

NEXT MONDAY, May 26th, is national "Sorry day" a national day to commemorate the stolen generations.
On this day there will be a gathering and march from Preston town hall to focus on the CURRENT high rate of Aboriginal children in out of home care. Families are welcomed and encouraged to attend, it's all about families!!

I will be hosting storytime as usual, with a particular focus on some empowering indigenous stories and songs. Can't wait to see you there!

*If you can't make the Monday y'all know I'll be doing it Wed and Fri also - so see you sooooon!!

What a beautiful April it's been sharing so many lovely songs and stories with you all!

Our new Monday session at Aunty Alma's has been off to a great start and I'm so pleased to announce I'll be continuing Monday's throughout May!!

Hopefully this will be an ongoing Monday session through the year, we are just feeling it out slowly to be sure it works well, particularly for our gracious hosts.
Aunty Alma's is a not for profit Indigenous organisation that puts all proceeds back into community projects so please buy a coffee if you head in on a Monday, or make a little donation to their coffee truck 💛🖤❤️

Thanks fam, couldn't do it without your support- and I really LOVE doing it!! 😄

OMGEEE NEXT WEEK!!!
April is here and with it your new favourite MONDAY storytime!

First session at Aunty Alma's, 11am, Monday APRIL 7TH!

I'm so excited to welcome you all to this beautiful new venue, and a little nervous too... So tell your buddies babies - we have a big new space to fill with fun! 🥳🥳

I will also continue Wednesday and Friday sessions as usual these holidays with the exception of Easter weekend, Monday and Friday.

MONDAY Songs and Stories with Kate !!

Beginning in APRIL for a "trial month" I will be hosting Songs and Stories at an exciting new venue "Aunty Alma Thorpe's Gathering Place."

I've been wanting to get a Monday session going for sometime now and I'm excited about this new space so come on down in April if you'd like to see this session continue - everything else is closed for school holidays anyway, so why not?! 😜
