‘We first heard about Ben from our venue. It wasn’t until we spoke with him that he told us he had only shot there once before, so the fact the venue had recommended him after that one time must speak very highly of him.
And boy, are we so glad they did (especially as he wasn’t local to the area, so there is no way we would have found him otherwise)! As soon as we saw Ben’s portfolio, we knew we had found our photographer. Not only does he create the most amazing, candid and natural shots, but he is super nice and easy going - we both felt like he was an old friend!
It’s the small moments which Ben finds that makes him so good at his job - the kid that’s cringing at the first kiss, the look of pride beaming out from a grandparent, the spontaneous bridal party group hug at the end of the aisle or running to the best vantage point to capture the last rays of light. All small, yet significant parts of our wedding day that would likely be missed and forgotten about as time goes on.
We also liked there was no pretentiousness, no awkward posing and no waiting around while he changed lenses or cameras (even our photographer friends were impressed!). Ben had everything ready to go at his fingertips, meaning we had more time to spend with our guests (or attending to our upset 5 month old!).
We cannot thank you enough for making the trek to Kangaroo Valley to shoot our wedding. Every single shot is beautifully composed, completely natural and is exactly what we were hoping our wedding photos would look like.’
