Up early this morning and had the chance to interview Bertie Higgins (Key Largo/Casablanca). Bertie was the drummer in the Tommy Roe Band before heading out to play guitar and release 1st album "Just another day in Paradise" New album coming soon. Have the following interviews coming up, Tommy James (Tommy James and The Shondells). Jim McCarty (Yardbirds). One of the originals from the Yardbirds. Brynn Bassett (Foghat) & (Wild Cherry) talking about his days with both bands. Foghat last year released a new album.😀🎤🎧🎸

Busy time coming up after Christmas. I will be interviewing Gary Talley & Bill Cunningham (The Box Tops) Then Carl Giammarese (The Buckinghams), Tony Elrich (The Vogues), Tony Brock (The Babys & Jimmy Barnes drummer), Ian Moss (Cold Chisel & self), Sandy Deanne (Jay & The Americans). No rest for the wicked, just plenty of great music. 😀🎤🎧🎸🥁 Some great memories here with all these artists. Ian Moss' interview will also be about his latest album, "Rivers Run Dry", out on 19th January 2024.

Do you remember Gary Puckett? Well, I had the pleasure of interviewing him the other day. He has been in the music industry for over 50 years and is still going strong. Most would remember him from Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. Some of the great songs from them were Young Girl, Lady Willpower, Woman, Woman and many more. After going solo, he did a number of albums. I will be presenting his interview this Wednesday night at 7.30 pm. 😀🎤🎸😃

A big month coming up for interviews due to the Marysville Music Weekend. I will be interviewing the following musicians:- Anna Smyrk (Indie Pop), Frank Sultana (Blues - Won the International Blues Challenge in Memphis earlier this year), Cass Eager (R & B, Soul, Blues singer) and Matt Joe Gow & Kerryn Fields (Alt-Country). Hopefully I will get to interview a few more of the musicians before the Music weekend kicks off. Other artists appearing are Delsinki, JD Delves (The Bowie Band), Brooke Taylor, Van Walker, William Creighton, Maggie Ally, Misty Harlowe and a host of more musicians. I interviewed Kate Ceberano on Monday night. She is coming to Marysville for the Marysville Music Weekend, 24th to 26th November 2023. She is a great performer and looking forward to seeing her. The whole weekend should be fantastic. Tickets are still available for the weekend. Had the chance to interview Beeb Birtles on Friday. The interview is going to air tonight on the Austin Minor show at UGFM. Beeb was a member of Zoot, Mississippi and of course Little River Band. He is now living in Nashville. 😀🎧🎤🎸

Interview on Monday night 26th July with Vince Melouney. Founding member of the Aztecs and then went on to work on first 4 albums with Bee Gees when they were a group. Had the chance to interview Vince Melouney on Friday night. Vince was an original in the Aztecs before Billy Thorpe joined. After leaving the Aztecs he joined the Bee Gees and was on a number of their albums. Vince sang one song called 'Such a shame'. This song appeared on the album Idea. Was the only time a non Gibb brother sang solo on an album. He is now with a band called Tall Poppy Syndrome. Bit of editing to do and will go to air in the next couple of weeks. 😀🎤🎸

Big night coming up on the 'L' Program will be talking with Mike Rudd ex Spectrum/Ariel/Mike Rudd & The Heaters. Spectrum is back together doing a few concerts.
Also had the chance to interview Tim Gaze last night ex Kahvas Jute/Tamam Shud/Rose Tattoo plus his own band. Great chat about his time in the music business.😀🎤🎧🎸
Who said Australian music is dead. The old bands showing their staying power. 😁

About to do a trial run on a new Radio Station. If it all works, will be going into America and Canada to start with. Radio station is called Thunder Mountain Radio.
