Well, isn't this just peachy, our events for today and tomorrow have been postponed or cancelled altogether due to the weather. Looks like we get to spend the weekend at home, cleaning, sorting and rearranging, yay. 🤯😒🌪️

Just to advise all.. this saturdays whale festival event put on by Fraser coast tourism and events. Has been POSTPONED till 30th August.. at this stage we are unsure if will be able to attend...

❗IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: WHALE FESTIVAL POSTPONED❗

Due to the forecast of strong winds and heavy rain this weekend, Fraser Coast Tourism & Events has made the difficult decision to postpone all Whale Festival events, including:

🐋 City and Sea (City Park Festivities at City Park and Seafront Celebrations at Seafront Oval)
✨ Tasman Holiday Parks Parade of Lights (Main Street)
🛶 Paddle Out for Whales (Ernie Organ Park & Torquay Pier)

The safety of our patrons, volunteers, vendors, and staff is our top priority, and we thank you for your understanding as we respond to these unexpected weather conditions.

🗓️ Here’s what’s changing:
🔹 City and Sea will now take place on Saturday, 30 August
🔹 The entire event will be relocated to Seafront Oval — there will be no activities at City Park
🔹 Event time remains 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM, now featuring all the City Park and Seafront activities combined into one bigger celebration!
🔹 The Tasman Holiday Parks Parade of Lights will also move to Seafront Oval (instead of Main Street)
🔹 Paddle Out for Whales will now take place on Sunday, 31 August – updated time to be confirmed soon

We understand this news may be disappointing, but the safety of our community comes first. We’re committed to delivering a fantastic event experience and appreciate your support as we make these necessary changes.

Following a fantastic family fun day at the Bjelke-Petersen Dam, we are gradually making our way home, with a scheduled stop at the Woolooga Hotel for dinner. We are all exhausted, particularly Zane Haas, after an extremely demanding last couple of weeks. It's not over yet, so keep an eye out for our next destination. 🏠🍴😴🚗

With out all this help we wouldnt of been able to pull off 2 big events in 1 night..

It is with a very heavy broken heart, we hear of the terrible news of the passing of lucy, we met lucy 7 years ago when we first started attending the wondai garden expo..such a bright energetic enthusiastic young lady, always happy and smiling, definitely brought the sunshine out in all that crossed paths with her.. as i write this tears are flowing, im finding it hard to comprehend and come to terms..

To dear stacey, denis hannah and peta, there are no words i can say or give except to give our condolences send our love prays and thoughts your way... there will forwever be a great whole in our hearts... will miss lucy very dearly...

R.I.P Beautiful young lady. Gone to soon and will never be forgot.. ###x oooo

Wednesday 16th, night time, Gympie Mary St - Easter fair, because one event a day isn't enough!
Thursday 17th, Maryborough Rotary Markets
Thursday 17th, night time, Mary movie night Queens Park - we're basically party animals!
Saturday 19th, Wondai Garden Expo - time to get our green thumbs on!
Sunday 20th, Wondai Garden Expo - round two, because one day of gardening isn't enough!
Monday 21st, Woodgate Easter Fair - the grand finale!
