This September, we are proud to be sponsoring the Mid-Mountains Garden Festival 🌿

On two consecutive weekends (12-13 and 19-20 Sept) there will be 11 beautiful gardens around the Mid Mountains open for viewing. And having seen them all, let me tell you - they're all AMAZING in their own different ways. So much diversity; from beautiful cottage gardens, to interesting permaculture and veggies, an orchard, a succulent & cactus haven, a tropical paradise, some gorgeous traditional mountains gardens, lots of beautiful native plants, and even a couple of peacocks!

All profits raised from this event go to Hazelbrook Public School. The event is run entirely by parents and volunteers, and has been going strong since the 1980s.

As Blue Mountains locals ourselves, and parents of a child at HPS, we're very happy to be helping organise this wonderful event, and have loved seeing firsthand how the community has come together to bring it to life. We have also seen what a tangible difference the funds make to the children on a daily basis - everything from the popular canteen to various tech upgrades, book vouchers, and a soon-to-be-launched breakfast club.

So if you fancy a day-trip to the beautiful Blue Mountains (or perhaps make a weekend away out of it!) check out www.midmountainsgardenfestival.com for tickets and a list of activities (inc workshops, kids play sessions, honey for sale, and a scavenger hunt for the kiddos)

And don't forget to come check out the plant stall, where we'll be selling lots of pretties (including many grown by volunteers at the school's greenhouse) to raise more funds for the school.

We are very proud to be sponsoring the Mid-Mountains Garden Festival this September!

This wonderful biennial event is a key fundraiser for Hazelbrook Public School, and we are so happy to be involved with the committee organising the event, as well as donating lots of cute little plants for sale at this year's Plant Stall.

There are 11 beautiful and diverse gardens opening up to the public this year, and we can honestly say that they are all stunning in totally different ways. Check out the details of the gardens, and how to buy tickets here:

A snapshot of what you'll see when our 11 gardens open to the public this Spring over the weekends of 12-13 & 19-20 September...

Back when this Festival first started in 1984, it relied on black and white photocopies of pamphlets, mailbox drops and parents driving up and down the mountains to put posters up on community boards, chats with neighbours and friends, to get the word out.

A lot of that still happens today but we also have the added benefit of online, digital space and the opportunity to reach more people, further afield.

If you're in a local gardening group or know a garden lover who would be keen to visit, share this post to let them know. We'd love to see you all in our gardens!

The challenge with bringing to life the same brief every year for Dayspring Church 's immersive Easter installation (entitled "Stations"), is that we need to find new and clever ways to change it up and keep things interesting each year. Luckily our team of stylists love a challenge!
