Mansfield Shire is extraordinarily lucky to be led by a Mayor and Deputy who have a lot of experience is emergency situations such as this.

Mayor Steve Rabie (pictured here when he dropped by to check in on the Mansfield CFA earlier) is an experienced firefighter and crew leader who spent many years with the Barjarg CFA brigade, attending multiple large-scale operations and firegrounds.

Deputy Mayor James Tehan is a former Captain with the Maindample CFA and just last year he was awarded with his 35-Year award for service with the brigade.

While emergency relief efforts are ongoing, and when efforts eventually turn to recovery, the community can be assured that the shire is in experienced hands.
