A beautiful reminder that your wedding day doesn’t have to be big to be incredibly special.

Surrounded by their closest family in the Oyster Shed, Ashlee & Laura created a day that was completely about the things that mattered to them, good people, live music, a photobooth, and a beautiful ceremony.

They took care of so many of the details themselves, creating a day that felt personal, relaxed and completely them.

And I was so honoured that they chose me to be their celebrant.

Some wedding days feel like they’ve been a long time coming.

For Michael and Bec, the day had lived in their imaginations for years, in the little moments of their everyday life.

Daydreaming about walking down the aisle while sunbaking at Clovelly.
Picturing the dress while walking Maxy in the morning.
Imagining their first kiss while sitting together at the Old Fitz.

And then, suddenly, they were standing across from each other at Tattersall’s Club in Brisbane, turning all those daydreams into something real.

What I loved most about their vows was that neither of them spoke only about the big moments. They spoke about the ordinary ones, the silly jokes, country songs, dancing while making dinner, holding hands, having a towel ready for the shower, and simply being in the same room.

Because sometimes the biggest promises are found in the smallest things.

“I promise that I will keep finding joy in those precious small moments. And I promise to bring you that same joy.”

It was such a beautiful reflection of the way they love each other, with so much joy, friendship, adventure and genuine appreciation for the life they are building together.

VENUE LOVE

A little appreciation post for one of the beautiful places I get to work, Woodford Gardens.

There’s something really special about this venue. Tucked away amongst the gardens and greenery, it has that relaxed, rustic feel that makes a wedding day feel warm, personal and completely unhurried.

One of the things I love most is that couples can really make the space their own. Woodford Gardens is wonderfully flexible, whether you’re planning a hands-on DIY celebration, bringing in your favourite vendors or keeping things simple and intimate.

It doesn’t feel like you’re stepping into someone else’s idea of a wedding. It feels like a beautiful blank canvas where you can create something that feels like you.

I’m so grateful to be partnered with Woodford Gardens as a celebrant, and I love seeing all the different ways couples bring this space to life.

No two weddings look quite the same, and I think that’s part of the magic.

A little peek into a wedding day filled with so much heart.

There was something really special about watching these two promise forever to one another at Sandstone Point Hotel.

Their story is full of the things that make a marriage beautiful, finding your person in the most unexpected of places, choosing each other through all the seasons, and building a life made up of both the big moments and the wonderfully ordinary ones.

The laughter. The little acts of love. The adventures, the chaos, the three very loved dogs… and all those tiny everyday moments that, over time, become a life together.

As their celebrant, it was such a privilege to hear the story of how they found one another and to stand beside them as they made those promises for the next chapter.

A beautiful day, a beautiful couple, and a love that feels very much like home.

From the moment we were engaged....Bec was the lady to marry us.

I knew Bec from an outside area, but had also seen her co-ordinate Weddings. She is just so natural at what she does, making the ceremony flow with ease enabling the Bride & Groom to know they are taken care of, as well as the Guests just sit back and enjoy, and the cute and funny stories are great too.

This is one of the best days of our lives and Bec is totally the lady that will make this happen. Could not recommend her enough.

30 years together… and they thought it was about time.

After three decades of sharing life together, Rebekah and Ranjan decided that 2026 was the year they would finally make it official.

An intimate legals-only ceremony at Mount Coot-tha, surrounded by their son and two lifelong friends.

No fuss. No big production. Just the people who mattered most, a beautiful location and a quiet moment to celebrate the love and life they’ve built together over 30 years.

I think there’s something really lovely about a legals-only ceremony like this. It might be small in size, but that doesn’t make the moment any less significant.

My job is still to make sure it feels like you, to listen to what you want, take care of the legalities and organisation, and create a moment that feels special, even when you’re keeping things simple.

It was such a pleasure to be part of Rebekah and Ranjan’s day, and I’m incredibly grateful for the beautiful words they shared afterwards.

Bec was absolutely amazing!

We chose her for not only our celebrant but also our MC. Bec doesn’t just read from a script, she’s very organic/natural which is what we wanted. She goes with the flow but is fantastic for helping with the schedule/timings of the day.

Bec has made the process so easy and smooth, we are so genuinely happy with how effortless it was for us because of her.
