Some weddings are extra special, and this one will always hold a very special place in my heart.

When I was asked to be the celebrant for Issy, I couldn’t help but think back to when she was just a little girl, primary school friends with my daughter, playing netball together for many years, coming along to birthday parties and being part of so many of those beautiful childhood memories.

And now, all these years later, I had the incredible honour of standing beside her as she married the love of her life.

To see that little girl I remember grow into such a beautiful woman, now with a daughter of her own, was such a special moment. Being able to catch up with her mum and best friend too made the day feel even more like a beautiful full-circle moment.

It really does make you realise just how quickly time goes, but moments like this remind me how special it is to be part of people's stories through different seasons of their lives.

What happens if I can’t be there on your wedding day?

It’s something I don't like to think about… because being there with my couples, sharing their story and standing beside them as they say “I do” is one of the most special parts of what I do.

But sometimes, life throws unexpected things our way.

If I ever find myself unable to be there on your wedding day, please know that your ceremony and your experience would still be treated with the same care, love and attention that went into creating it.

Before your ceremony day, I make sure:

🩵 Your ceremony is written by me, with your story, your personalities and your wishes at the heart of it
🩵 All legal paperwork is completed, organised and ready to go
🩵 I have a trusted network of celebrants who share a similar approach — warm, genuine and focused on creating a ceremony that feels like you
🩵 Your chosen celebrant receives a full handover, including your story, your ceremony details and everything that makes your day uniquely yours
🩵 Any questions are answered, expectations are clearly communicated, and you are supported every step of the way

Would I be sad not to stand beside you on the day? Absolutely. 🩵

But what matters most is that you still have a beautiful, meaningful ceremony with someone who understands the importance of your story.

I truly love what I do!

Choosing Bec as our celebrant was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
From the moment we met her, it felt like we'd known her forever. She has the most loving, kind and genuine soul, and she has such a calming presence that instantly makes you feel at ease.
Bec told our story so perfectly. She captured us in a way that felt so authentic, personal and full of heart. There were so many laughs, happy tears and moments that felt so us, and that's all because she took the time to truly get to know us.

I had separate pre ceremony and post ceremony music, made my own playlists, and had so many little ideas and details I wanted included. Not once did Bec make me feel like we were asking too much, all my last minute stressed requests were never a bother.
On the day itself, she was so much more than our celebrant and MC. She constantly checked in on me, reassured me, kept me calm and somehow made the whole day feel completely stress free, Bec coordinated the day perfectly. Knowing she was there looking out for us meant the world. Bec also took the time to get to know some of our guests, and made friends with everyone in the room!
