The dawn spilled soft over the old Mandurah Bridge pylons, standing like tired sentinels in the tide.
From the stillness, dolphins slid past in quiet procession,
their backs breaking the water with a rhythm older than the town.
Behind them, the sun climbed slowly,

In the early mornings, the foreshore is a haven for joggers, cyclists, and those seeking a peaceful start to their day. The waters are home to playful dolphins, and you might catch a glimpse of them frolicking near the shoreline. Birds, too, are in abundance—herons, pelicans, and other seabirds can often be seen perched along the water's edge or taking flight over the bay. Crabbing in Mandurah can be as leisurely or as competitive as you like. Many people enjoy the tradition of a day spent out on the water, with friends or family, sharing stories, snacks, and the thrill of pulling in a net full of crabs.

Spending three straight days driving 15-hour , Listening to your daughter's music preferences, might not be everyone's idea of a fun road trip. But hey we did find the best camping spot on the Bight. Awesome trip across!!
