Colts and Futures Head Coach announcements ‼️

The Peel Thunder Football club is excited to announce Matthew Piggott as our 2027 Colts Head Coach, and Tom Spence as our 2027 Futures Head Coach.

Talent Manager Lachy Boneham spoke on the new roles - "These appointments are incredibly exciting for the football club, both Matthew and Tom have worked in roles from 14's through to Seniors and now have the opportunity to lead their own program. The club feels both have significant potential as coaches going forward. Congratulations to both, and we look forward to a massive 2027."

"I am honoured and grateful for the opportunity the club has given me. Peel Thunder has been a big part of my life as a player, and as a coach for nearly 15 years now.
I am excited to have this opportunity to lead the Colts program, and develop senior footballers for the future. I am big on connection so I look forward to building relationships with everyone involved, and creating an environment to get the best of each individual as a player and as a person.
I can't wait to get started and look forward to starting pre season in November to get prepared for our first season together." - Matt Piggott on the appointment.

"I'm super excited about the role, thankful for the club supporting me and creating the pathway to this position, I think there is a lot of excitement around this years players and I'm really looking forward to getting started building a solid foundation for our players as they move towards senior footy." - Tom Spence on his new position.

Congratulations Matthew & Tom ⚡️
