Ever so proud of Craig Mann and Theresa Mann.
I remember walking into the Criterion Hotel Rochester with Kaylene O'brien just after the 2022 floods.
We also checked on a few others and soon realised that despite the relief agencies on the ground our ongoing support would be needed.
Being no stranger to helping communities in need of a hand up post a natural "event", we (the Australian Horizons Foundation Let's get rural crew) put the wheels in motion to support this community.
Now, 17 months later, countless trips to Rochie, events, and sitting with community members as they heal, I'm excited to announce that our job is done.....or is it?
There are just too many to thank who made everything happen and so many donated to make things happen.
But...in all of this, something AMAZING has come out of this...
Which I will reveal this week (as soon as I get a spare moment....remember myself...everyone...are volunteers)
I will also be able to announce our next community who we will be working with, that was hit by the floods as soon as all the ducks are in a row (pardon the pun)

Home to Criterion Hotels Milkshake Lane, amazing meals, great company and a venue that makes everyone smile with Craig's handy work scattered around the venue...inside and out.
The 2022 floods were a setback for the whole community with Craig, and Theresa not being the only ones left feeling very overwhelmed at the flood damage in their pub, the communities hub and community.
But, as communities do, they rally together, and today, the Cris doors are open for their community to come chill, laugh, eat, drink and have deep and meaningful conversations if need be.
