What a tour to remember! 🎉 This lively group joined us to celebrate multiple birthdays on our final Airlie Beach Ladies Day experience—and what a way to go out!

From the moment we left Mackay, the music was pumping and the drinks were flowing. I don’t think we’ve ever had such an enthusiastic, sing-along crew on the bus! 😅

Our first stop was cake an coffee at K&Co followed by a little retail therapy at Colour Me Crazy.

Next up we enjoyed a scrumptious five-course lunch with bottomless drinks at Whisper Restaurant & Gin Bar complete with stunning seaside views and exceptional hospitality.

To top it all off, the group enjoyed a cocktail tasting board at The Garden Bar Bistro —the perfect way to wrap up a fabulous day in Airlie. ⚓️🍸

The ride home? Non-stop bangers, singalongs, mingling… and of course, a few kick-ons at the bowlsy to finish!

I’ll definitely miss spending the day with a group of strangers who quickly became friends 🥰

We had such a fantastic group of Minglers join us — some who’ve mingled with us many times over the years, others who’ve been wanting to come along for ages, and a few who only just discovered us. It’s always so special bringing together both familiar faces and first-time Minglers for a truly unique local experience 🥰

A Note from Me 🤍

After a lot of reflection, I’ve made the decision to finish up Mingle Minis Tours in the format we’ve been operating.

This hasn’t been an easy call — but it feels like the right one.

Over the past almost three years, Mingle Minis Tours grew faster than I could have imagined. What started as a little idea became an incredible local tourism offering here in Mackay — one that I’m so deeply proud of.

✨ Over 2,000 guests hosted on our minibus
✨ A Mackay Isaac Tourism Award win
✨ Lifelong friendships with local businesses and customers
✨ And the absolute joy of delivering epic experiences weekend after weekend

I’ve also been juggling a young family, a husband who works away, and my day job — and like many small businesses, we’ve felt the shift in booking patterns.

We’ve also seen first-hand how challenging the current tourism landscape can be — with weather extremes, shifting travel habits and tighter household budgets impacting how and when people choose to explore locally.

I love Mackay, and I’ve been so proud to shine a light on the amazing small businesses that call this region home. I truly believe there is so much potential here, and I hope to see Mackay continue to evolve as a destination where experiences like this can thrive long-term.

With a noticeable decline in tour bookings, the behind-the-scenes hours, logistics, admin and overheads are no longer sustainable in this current format.

None of this takes away from how successful, special and meaningful this chapter has been.

I want to say a huge thank you to Maria and Linda, who shared my passion and trusted me — and who delivered the Mingle experience with heart, humour and professionalism every single weekend.

While Mingle Minis Tours is wrapping up, Mingle Events Co. is not going anywhere. I’m excited to scale back, focus on family and travel, and take the time to reimagine what the next chapter of Mingle looks like.

One of Mingles OG dining destinations and a true hidden gem of Mackay — Mount Jukes Family Farm holds a very special place in our hearts 💛

Located on the way to Seaforth, this beautiful outdoor farm setting is run by a warm and welcoming Italian family who invite guests to slow down, settle in and enjoy incredible food in the most relaxed, authentic way.

Mount Jukes is best known for their authentic woodfired pizzas, cooked to perfection and packed with flavour, alongside a menu full of other delicious, crowd-pleasing dishes.
