Looks like its time for another Back To Luddenham

Later this year Luddenham Progress Association will celebrate 100 years of owning our Hall. The Luddenham Progress Association is looking for ideas and expressions of interest for people that would like to be involved in either a day or weekend celebration. If you would like to get involved, please message Luddenham Progress Association or email [email protected]. The Hall was built in 1886 by the Orange Lodge, in 1892 the Sons Of Temperance purchased the hall, then in 1922 The Luddenham Progress Association purchased the hall and in October 1924 we made our final repayment.

On the 30th of November 1813 John Blaxland was given a Grant of 6710 acres by Governor Lachlan Macquarie. John selected a site extending from the Nepean River on the West to a branch of South Creek to the East. Luddenham was named by Blaxland after Luddenham in England where he came from. John Blaxland (brother of Gregory the Explorer) arrived in Sydney on the 3rd if April 1807. Happy Birthday Luddenham you have certainly changed a lot and are about to grow a lot more. It is also 9 Years today since we had our Bicentenary.
