Welcome to all the new faces over the last month and a huge congratulations to those newly engaged people.
It's been a while since I've been here for a chat. Time just flies by. But heading into the 2024-2025 wedding season, it's time to start planning and make sure your celebration is one to truly remember.
My name is Ren and I am a registered marriage celebrant. I am also a Pagan Priestess who has completed degrees through Sacred Mists. I've been cofficiating Handfastings for 13 years, and for the last 9 years been blessed to be involved in celebrations as a legal marriage officiant.
I'm know to travel all over SA, ViC and Southern NSW to assist couples with their celebrations, but if you live in another part of Australia, please reach out. We're up for a holiday especially somewhere North!
Like many of you, I too struggled to locate an officiant who could provide us with the celebration that we required. Whilst ceremony location choices were so easy, it took me 18 months of searching just to locate my officiant. Local ones just had no idea. They certainly were not a good fit. I had to look much further. When you have a vision you will not finish your search until you have exactly what you are after. I know many of my couples have told me the exact same thing over the years too. I learnt a lot about how to navigate the internet and sort through the few but far between genuine people who respected our beliefs. We celebrate in beautiful ways, just like everyone else. The amount of loved ones over the years who have never attended a Traditional Celtic Handfasting, Astaru ritual or other Pagan or Theme Wedding, yet been truly moved by the meaningful gestures behind our rituals, have never ceased to amaze me. Sharing the truth and understanding of our lives with others is what I love to do.
We are no longer seen as a negative yet a positive. We can truly celebrate our lives in our own way.
