BIG Saltwater BARRA. LIVE scoreboards. New for ABT in 2026.

The Samaki Saltwater Barra Open is coming to the mighty Fitzroy River this June — and it’s shaping up as one of the most exciting new events on the ABT calendar.

Proudly presented by Samaki, this event puts anglers on one of Australia’s premier tidal BARRA fisheries right in the heart of Rockhampton. With the Fitzroy thriving under Net Free Zone conditions, competitors will chase those crucial upgrades that can change everything.

With LIVE scoreboards running throughout the event, teams of two are chasing their best five fish each day. Big BARRA will matter. Watch the leaderboard shift in real time as teams go head-to-head in pursuit of Saltwater BARRA Open glory and a $5000 CASH first prize.

If you love chasing big river barra — this is your event.

Keep those entries coming - the full event information sheet and entries are on the ABT website. Link in the comments.

Barry Reynolds has added another major ABT win to the collection - taking out the Non-Boater division at the Nomad sponsored Glenbawn Dam round of the 2026 Rapala BASS Pro Series.

Fishing blades with Tyson Eveleigh on day one and deep gulping with Dave Lane on day two, Barry adapted perfectly to secure the win against a stacked field at one of Australia’s premier bass fisheries.
