Running a business in your 20s is a strange mix of excitement, pressure and figuring things out as you go 😵💫
Pretty Party People started in 2020 as an idea - and over the last six years it’s grown into something we’re incredibly proud of. But the reality behind that growth isn’t always what people expect 💭
A lot of the time, what you see is the finished setup. What you don’t see is everything that happens around it - the admin, the design work, the stock management, the coordination, the prep, the late nights, the physical labour and the mental load of trying to build something sustainable 🫥
At the moment, things feel a little uncertain. Bookings have slowed, costs are rising, and like many small businesses, we’re feeling that pressure too. It’s challenging, and there are definitely moments where we question what the future looks like 😓
But we also know why we started 🧡
We love helping people celebrate. We love creating spaces that feel exciting and memorable. And we’re proud of what we’ve built together - something that didn’t exist in our community before! ✨
Moving forward, we’re focused on continuing to show up, adapt where we need to, and find ways to meet people where they’re at - while still valuing the time, skill and care that goes into what we do 🫶🏻
