Do you remember as a child coming home from school and walking through the front door and knowing in an instant, mum had just pulled out of the oven a lemon delicious cake or a batch of scones ready to be smothered in jam and butter? We do, and so in 2006 Mountain First Catering was born with its mission to revitilise this memory and provide quality home prepared meals and baked goods like mum and
gran used to make for private and corporate clients. If you need catering for a wake/life celebration, conference, private high tea, dinner party, wedding or birthday celebration or just need a cake for someone special we can provide. We cook and bake with all the old recipes that people recognize and prepare foods the old fashioned way. Special dietary requirements such a gluten free and diary free are no problem as we can adapt many of the recipes and tell you exactly what is in them because we make them from scratch using quality product and ingredients. Our people hold the necessary qualifications – great home cooks taught by their mother, grandmother or aunt but also the modern versions such as Certificate 4 in Hospitality. The necessary requirements by the NSW Food Authority are also meet as I have the Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and our kitchen is rated most highly by Katoomba Council for cleanliness and adherence to all regulations.
